50 Traditional Home Finds From Amazon That Look Expensive
Humble brag, but finding really good hidden gems on Amazon is sort of my thing. I’m always keeping my eyes peeled for classic home decor, kitchen goods, and furniture that will withstand the test of time (easier said than done). Living in a colonial home, I tend to gravitate toward traditional items rather than trendy ones… the kind of pieces that feel collected over time, and don’t look like they were just added to my Amazon cart yesterday. I think it goes to show, you can absolutely have a beautiful, well designed and nicely curated home without spending a small fortune. That’s exactly why I’m always hunting for traditional home finds from Amazon that look way more expensive than they actually are. These are tried, true, and have my designer stamp of approval. Click through for 50 home finds that look expensive, but are actually affordable…

Before we dive in, here are five quick designer tips I use when sourcing from Amazon. My goal is to find items that will withstand the test of time, are of decent quality, and won’t go out of style…
- Choose classic shapes over trendy silhouettes.
- Take note of the material… linen, cotton, marble, aged finishes, etc (again timeless over trendy).
- Measure and double check the scale and weight, to confirm quality.
- Reverse image search if you’re looking for something specific, and lean into keywords.
- Look to reviews for confirmation and additional photos.
