Facebook Marketplace Finds : Philadelphia, PA
Hello from Kentucky and happy Friday! Work brought me to Louisville today, then I’m checking out for family time. I’m excited for a fun weekend ahead! To kick things off, I’ve got a new Facebook Marketplace post for you and whoa– it’s my favorite city to search yet. I cannot believe how many inexpensive, high quality, in excellent condition pieces are just floating around Philadelphia. I seriously can’t fathom having THAT selection at my fingertips… count yourself lucky if you live in the area! For the rest of us, the best we can do is hone our algorithm. Click through for the good stuff and to do just that.
I could have went on for days with this search. I wasn’t joking with I said Philly is a literal furniture goldmine- I saved over 25 items. Part of me is now considering flying out, loading up a U-haul, and driving back home. Ha, but really. You’ll see what I mean…
Photo disclaimer… the FB marketplace image quality in Philly seems exceptionally bad, but the items are exceptionally good- so look past the image quality. I pulled the following photos directly from Facebook Marketplace.
Vintage Gold Wall Sconces
Let’s start with wall decor… only $100 for this incredible set! These are so beautiful and the details are perfect. You know I love a romantic candleholder wall sconce.
Vintage Louis XVI Writing Desk
Sure, this desk could use a little stain, furniture polish, and love, but it’s in great shape for being an antique. For $425, you could definitely shine this baby up!
Visual Comfort Picture Light
I grabbed a photo from my home office for this one because the seller’s image was just the light in the box and a screen grab from Visual Comfort, but they’re selling my exact picture light. It’s listed for $400 (new, in the box) and it retails for $539, so it is a deal if you’re in the area!
Henredon Entry Table
This is what my entry or accent table dreams are made of. Look at that brass edge banding! The shape of this Hendredon pedestal table is really classic. It’s listed for $200 and is in near perfect condition.
Calacatta Viola Marble Coffee Table
I can’t resist Viola marble… but, you already know that based on our downstairs kitchen renovation. The veining in this modern coffee table is stunning. If you’re looking to add graphic interest to your living space, this is a great way to do it.
Drop Leaf Table / Desk
I am smitten with this Duncan Phyfe drop leaf console table or desk. Look at the feet on this thing! It’s in pristine condition and is listed for $225. Such a deal!
Tiger Maple Chair Set (4)
Four antique tiger maple chairs… $50 per chair or $200 for the set. That’s wild to me (in an inexpensive way). They’re super beautiful and I can’t believe these Philly prices.
Round Pedestal Table
$20 for a vintage pedestal table with feet? Twist my arm. This is such a timeless accent table! I’d scoop this one up in a second.
Leather Counter Stools
Where were these navy genuine leather counter stools when I was looking for my basement renovation? These would have been so perfect, but alas- distance and furniture shipping can be tricky. Some local, snag them!
Vintage Hepplewhite Demilune Table
Last, but not least… a magnificent Hepplewhite demilune table. They sure don’t make them like they used to. Look at this gorgeous table! It’s listed for $375, which I feel is worth it.
I hope you enjoyed this month’s Facebook Marketplace finds! Which city should I search next month? I’m off to meetings, then to dinner with all three of my siblings (a rare occasion)! Cheers to a fabulous weekend ahead, friends.
