20201 Holiday Gift Guide - roomfortuesday.comEach holiday season, I share an annual gift guide. It’s something I really look forward to compiling each year, because I love gifting. I’m following tradition and am sharing one giant annual gift guide you can easily refer to all season long! It’s filled with products of all types for everyone on your list. It includes items from small businesses, artists, makers, designers, and all your favorite retail stores… it also includes products that support good causes, budget-friendly items, and so many things Emmett & I own, use, and enjoy. Gift guides always take an insane amount of time, and I want you to know that this one was carefully curated with love. I’ve spent the past three weeks working on it and designing this, in an effort to hopefully make your holiday shopping feel inspired, exciting, and easy. I truly hope it saves you time and helps build excitement for the season ahead! At the very least, it’s fun to brainstorm.

  1. OUD NOIR 6-WICK CANDLE // This 6-wick soy candle is my new favorite! It’s currently styled on my coffee table, and I’ve been getting SO many compliments on the fragrance. It’s the perfect holiday gift, and the beautiful hammered vessel can be reused once the candle has been burned.
  2. CANDLE STYLING GIFT BOX // At the shop, we’ve been selling lots of our candle styling gift boxes… choose your favorite fragrance from my collection! It comes with a match strike and a marble trivet- and it arrives gift wrapped in a glossy box with velvet ribbon. It’s pretty!
  3. CRYSTAL TASSEL // You know I’m a fan of decorating with tassels. This one is a new addition to our shop, and one of my personal favorites.
  4. MODERN MATCH BOX // Beautiful match boxes make great stocking stuffers or small gifts! I always keep these on hand to use as a hostess gift.
  5. FOOTED MAGNIFYING GLASS // This footed magnifying glass designed by Thomas O’Brien is one of my favorite styling accessories. It looks gorgeous year round, but is especially fitting for the holidays.
  6. HAND PAINTED GINGER JAR // While at market, I found an amazing father / daughter owned shop that sells hand painted blue & white! I had to buy some for our shop- these lovely ginger jars make a great gift and support two small businesses!
  7. JOSEPH DIRAND INTERIOR BOOK // This is one of my favorite inspiring interior design books. It looks fantastic styled anywhere because the cover is white linen with contrasting black type- making it easy to blend with any aesthetic.
  8. CLASSIC LEOPARD PILLOW // This pillow comes from the collection that my grandmother sews for us! I love a classic animal print- this one feels very timeless.
  9. TUESDAY MADE GIFT CARD // If you’re not exactly sure what the interior lover in your life would like to have this holiday, a gift card is always a good idea! Let them choose what best fits their home and aesthetic.
  10. STAFFORDSHIRE DOG ORNAMENTS // These ornaments are my new favorite! I snagged a pair for my tree before they sell out… which is very close to happening! These are also hand painted.
  11. SCALLOP EDGE MARBLE DISH // Our scallop edge marble dish is one of the most popular marble pieces in our shop. It’s a versatile piece that makes a thoughtful gift! Use it as a catchall, to hold a candle, or simply for styling.
  12. SMALL BLACK TASSEL // Tassels make fun gifts, and they’re also a nice way to dress up or elevate your gift wrap or package! Use it for a beautiful presentation, as well as part of the gift itself.
  13. THROW BLANKET // This year, I’m loving all the cozy throws… especially those of the windowpane, tartan, buffalo check, or plaid varieties. Give a cozy gift this season!

  15. MOSS PEDESTAL TOPIARY // Our moss topiary is a new favorite that looks lovely any season, but is especially awesome for the holidays (try tying a bow around the base)! I love the shape, pedestal planter, and the texture it adds to a vignette.
  16. CLAWFOOT PEDESTAL DISH // Clawfoot dishes are by far the most popular item in our shop. Style it with a candle this holiday for a pretty pair!

Stocking Stuffers (Under $10)
  1. FIRESIDE GLOW CANDLE // For $5, this cute candle would make a charming stocking stuffer or gift addition.
  2. MARSEILLE FRENCH BAR SOAP // This has been my go-to bar soap lately… it’s made in France, is silky, and smells amazing! It’s also beautiful.
  3. HARD COVER JOURNAL // I have journals and notepads all over the place- on my nightstand, in my home office, in my car, etc. I love giving them as gifts! It’s a thoughtful way to foster organization & creativity to our loved ones.
  4. MOONSTRUCK CHOCOLATE // A delicious chocolate bar is always a good gift idea! For the one who loves sweets, milk chocolate is always a safe bet.
  5. MARBLE DISH // This little marble bowl would make a great salt pinch, bedside catchall for jewelry, or a fun styling accent.

  10. LINEN BLEND NAPKIN SET // These linen blend napkins look really nice! I also love the presentation with the bow. If you’re shopping for someone who enjoys hosting or entertaining, these would make a thoughtful gift!
  11. STONEWARE MUG // This mug is another amazing & affordable find… pair it with your favorite local coffee for an easy and quick gift.
  12. SMART PLUG // For those who enjoy tech and a smart home- smart plugs are a must! We have many of our lights on smart plugs.
  13. BRASS PEDESTAL // This charming little pedestal would be beautiful styled on a bedside table, to prop a scented candle, or to elevate a pillar candle.
  14. HAIR CLAW SET // I very rarely wear hair ties- my hair can most often be seen pulled into a clip or claw. These make excellent gifts for those who appreciate classic fuss-free fashion.
  15. MIKE’S HOT HONEY // Emmett & I use Mike’s hot honey often. We love drizzling it over chicken, vegetables, and I think it would make a fun (and appreciated) gift for foodies.

  1. LINEN NAPKIN SET // This is my go-to napkin set… I’ve also gifted them plenty of times, and they’re always a hit. They’re my favorite classic napkins! The tassel detail is a nice touch for gifting.
  2. KITCHEN KNIFE SET // This is our knife set, as seen in our kitchen. They’re beautiful, functional, work really well, and are budget-friendly!
  3. KITCHEN UTENSIL SET // We also have this utensil set. They come in a variety of colors, they’re dishwasher safe, and you can’t beat the look or price.
  4. DINNER IN FRENCH COOKBOOK // One of my new favorite cookbooks as of lately- it’s gorgeous and the recipes have been incredible. You can find it in my shop!

Emmett’s Favorites
  1. L.L. BEAN FLEECE // Emmett is always wearing this fleece and it makes me want to hug him… it’s super duper soft and cozy.
  2. TOM FORD FRAGRANCE // I bought this cologne for him years ago because I loved the way it smelled, and he has been wearing it ever since.
  3. LASER MEASURE // Emmett actually got us each one of these laser measuring devices. They’re super handy and I hate math, so I think it’s probably more beneficial for me than him. He uses it all the time though!
  4. YETI RAMBLER MUG // This mug keeps coffee hot FOREVER. No more reheating.
  5. RETRACTABLE PEN HOLDER // Emmett is OBSESSED with this thing and always has a Sharpie or pen attached to his shirt when working. Apparently it’s a popular item, based on the amount of IG messages I received from everyone. Ha!
  6. PIGSKIN WALLET // I got Emmett this wallet for Christmas a few years ago and it still looks amazing. He loves it! Classic gift for a classic guy… and it’s monogrammed.
  7. BENCHMADE KNIFE // Emmett has carried this pocket knife for YEARS… the best part? They offer lifetime sharpening for free. He has had his sharpened three times since purchasing it five years ago.
  8. STANLEY THERMOS // I bought this for Emmett years ago and we both use it all the time… most recently on our little mountain picnic!
  9. CARHARTT BEANIE // This is Emmett’s beanie of choice during the cold, winter months.
  10. DR SQUATCH SOAP // This is Emmett’s preferred soap these days. I forgot my body wash on one of our trips and ended up using his soap, which was actually pretty nice!
  11. CUSHIONED SOCKS // These are the only socks Emmett wears- he is very picky. These are made of wool and have a lifetime warranty.
  12. HEADLAMP // We both have had these for almost a decade and they still work wonderfully.
  13. SHAVING CREAM // I actually discovered this men’s shaving cream, bought it for myself (because the ratings were incredible), and Emmett starting use it. 10 years later, it’s still his favorite.
  14. LEATHER SNEAKERS // He bought these a couple months ago to walk miles at High Point, and has been wearing them and bragging about how comfy they are since.
  15. NORTH FACE LUMBAR PACK // This is an easy and convenient pack he uses when we hike or take the dogs for a walk.
  16. YETI TUNDRA // We own a lot of Yeti products because they’re amazing. This is the most convenient cooler.
  17. LEATHER CASE WITH MAGSAFE // He actually bought us both one of these leather phone cases… I like how minimal it is, and that it’s protected with MagSafe.
  18. JENI’S ICE CREAM // If you know, you know… we love Jeni’s! This is Emmett’s favorite flavor.
  19. BLUETOOTH WORK HEADPHONES // These headphones are amazing- they’re ear protection and bluetooth music in one. Emmett wears these a lot during renovation projects.
  20. CHEF KNIFE // This is something Emmett recently purchased and has been loving. He uses it for chopping veggies, meat, whatever.
  21. LIGHTWEIGHT FLANNEL // His favorite piece of clothing? A comfy and cozy lightweight flannel!
  22. PIG OF THE MONTH BBQ // One of our good friends owns and operates this mail order BBQ company, and her food is the BEST. It’s always a happy day when a box shows up at our door!

  2. FLORAL GREETING CARD // I’m very into pretty stationery. Have you seen the gorgeous things floating around my friend Susan’s shop?

  4. LE PEN SET // The only pen or markers I use… le pen forever! These make an awesome gift. My mom actually sends me some every Christmas because she knows they’re my favorite.

  8. LEATHER BLOTTING PAD // I also have this blotting pad and have enjoyed using it… bonus points for protecting my desk underneath.
  9. RIBBED MARBLE DISH // One of my new favorites in our shop… use it near the sink to elevate your favorite hand soap, on a bedside table as a jewelry catchall, place it under a candle, or use it in the bath as a beautiful soap dish!
  10. LEATHER MONOGRAM DESK PAD // Is this not the most beautiful notepad you’ve seen? I’m tempted to grab one of these for myself this year.

  5. TEETHER // This teething bracelet is functional, cute, and gender neutral.
  6. STRIPED BODYSUIT // I thought this bodysuit was sweet and would make an easy gift.
  7. KEEKAROO CHANGER // One of my best friends is expecting, and I bought her this coveted changer from her registry. The 5-star reviews don’t lie!
  8. WINTER FLEECE // What a cute little winter outfit… I love the pom on the hood.
  9. SOFT LAMB TOY // This soft lamb snuggie is sure to be favorite, and would make an easy, inexpensive gift.
  10. HUMIDIFIER // Confession- Emmett & I actually have this humidifier in our bedroom. It’s so minimal- it was the best looking one on the market. It’s great for a nursery (or a primary bedroom).
  11. LETTERS TO BABY BOOK // This would be such a special and sentimental gift… it provides a beautiful place for parents to write their children a letter on their birthday, from ages 0-18.
  12. LEATHER PLAY MAT // I love the pattern on this vegan leather play mat. I would definitely buy that print on a pillow! Ha.
  13. WHITE NOISE MACHINE // I actually have this and take it along when traveling because I sleep with white noise.
  14. BABY BRUSH SET // This is a darling little set.
  15. WEIGHTED SLEEP SWADDLE // I’ve heard great things about weighted sleep swaddles from friends.
  16. RUFFLE SOCKS // Ok- these ruffled socks are just the cutest.

  1. CHOCOLATE COVERED ESPRESSO BEANS // Chocolate covered espresso beans- need I say more? And, the chocolate is nice quality. Everyone loves a food gift!
  2. INTAGLIO SOAP SET // This unique intaglio soap set is really special… and they’re all handmade by an artist in Virginia. We love carrying these in our shop.
  3. HAND TOWEL SET // Simple, sophisticated, and easy- these hand towels look great and the bow makes a nice presentation.
  4. COASTER SET // These inexpensive coasters look like they cost much more than they do. This little set would make a lovely gift!
  5. FERN MATCH BOX // These oversized, European matches come in a botanical fern embossed box- worthy of keeping on your countertop, vanity, coffee table, or nightstand next to your favorite candle.
  6. MARBLE BIJOU BOWL // This handmade marble bijou bowl is perfect for so many things… a round bar of soap for the bathroom, a salt pinch bowl for the kitchen counter, or styled as a bedside dish for delicate jewelry. I’ve gifted quite a few of these!

  16. MARBLE SALT & PEPPER SET // These heavy marble salt & pepper shakers are elegant, come in two marble colors (carrara or nero), and would make a great gift!
  17. OLD FASHIONED GLASS // These heavy thick-walled old fashioned glasses are perfect for a cocktail, styling at the bar, or using for your everyday water glasses.
  18. STONEWARE VASE // This vase definitely looks much more expensive than it actually is. I love the shape. It would make an incredible shelf styling object!
  19. LEATHER TASSEL BOTTLE OPENER // This fun and unique leather tassel bottle opener is ideal for styling at any home bar or beverage cart. It also makes a lovely gift, and is perfect for hosting & entertaining!
  20. MONOGRAMMED LEATHER CATCHALL // Personalized gifts are usually expensive, but this genuine leather catchall can be monogrammed for your gift recipient- and it’s under $25. I actually bought this for my brother, who is a university professor, last year. He keeps it on his desk.

For The Pet Parents
  1. WOVEN DOG BED // A good classic dog bed is tough to come by- we have this one. I love the way it looks and the dogs love cuddling on it.
  2. DOG BANDANA // We have some great looking pet bandanas in our shop… all made by small businesses!
  3. NATURAL DOG SHAMPOO // This is the dog shampoo we use. I like that it’s all natural and doesn’t bother our dogs’ sensitive skin (they both have bad allergies).
  4. FOLDABLE TRAVEL DOG BED // What a handy and good looking travel pet bed! Of course I love that it can be monogrammed with your dog’s name.
  5. FLEECE DOG JACKET // Cash gets really cold during the winter months and we’ve found he actually prefers to wear sweaters or puffers to keep cozy. This is a favorite!
  6. HEAVY DUTY LEASH // I love these heavy duty leashes. We have them here at home and in the shop.
  7. FURBO DOG CAMERA // We love our Furbo doggie cam. I wish we would’ve invested in one of these years ago. We’ve caught some hilarious moments on camera.
  8. KONG EXTREME // This is by far my best kept “dog sitting” secret. We fill these with peanut butter or pumpkin, freeze them, and let the dogs entertain themselves, while enjoying a special treat.
  9. STONEWARE PET FOOD SCOOP // Looking for a better looking dog food scoop? This enamel one is an awesome find!
  10. LEATHER BUSINESS BAG // Why not make a poo holder pretty? Might as well! If I’m going to carry it around on my belt or in my purse, I’d rather it look decent.
  11. CHAMPAGNE DOG TOY // I think the booze dog toys are hilarious! The boys like squeaking these.
  12. PERSONALIZED TREAT JAR // Not only is this treat jar customized, with your pet’s name… but it keeps treats sealed and fresh! This would look great left out on the countertop.
  13. JIMINY’S TREATS // One of our friends told us about a small business who makes great treats for dogs with allergies (they’re made from crickets & grubs!). These are hands down, Cash & Crosby’s most coveted treats… and they have an entire line. We buy them all and they gobble them up.
  14. DOG TOY BASKET // We have this toy basket and use it to roundup and contain allllll of the dog toys. It’s cute in person and has handles! Now- if we could teach the dogs to drop their toys in, that would be great.
  15. BONE LEASH HOOK // We use this dog bone hook for hanging leashes.
  16. CUSTOM DOG BEDS // Annie Selke kindly sent us two of these a few years ago and we’ve been using and loving them ever since!
  17. CABLEKNIT SWEATER // Again- Cash prefers to be in a sweater during the snowy months, and this is an easy go-to that looks pretty darling.

  1. TINY CRYSTAL TABLE LAMP // I love a tiny table lamp moment. I have a couple of these- one at home and one at my office.
  2. SCULPTURAL HAND // I like sculptural art and this hand is just weird enough to be cool! I’ve styled this in so many different ways. Unique decor is my favorite.

  8. PHOTOSHOP CLASSROOM BOOK // I get a lot of questions about Photoshop. If you’re new to Adobe or PSD, check out this classroom book.
  9. NIKON SLR // I’ve been shooting with a Nikon SLR since I took my first photography class in art school. This would be a fantastic gift for the serious photographers.
  10. TAPER CANDLES // Aren’t these taper candles unique? I like the interesting shape and green color.
  11. BLIND CONTOUR ARTWORK // Looking to gift or install art in your home? This blind contour drawing is one of my favorites in our shop. It comes professionally framed.
  12. MOUNTAIN PASS COCKTAIL KIT // I’m intrigued by this cocktail in a jar!
  13. SHERWIN-WILLIAMS FAN DECK // For the design lovers in your life, gift them a paint swatch fan deck… having all of those colors at your fingertips is pretty incredible.
  14. PAINT BRUSH SET // There is nothing better than a fresh set of brushes to get creative with.
  15. MANFROTTO TRIPOD // This is my favorite tripod. It’s pricey, but the best. It’s stable, easy to use, and indestructible.

Renovating & Home Improvement
  1. RETRACTABLE PEN HOLDER // Put either a pen, pencil, or marker in it. Clip it to your shirt. You will never have to search for your marking device ever again while working on projects!
  2. HEAVY DUTY EXTENSION CORD //If you’re going to have just one extension cord, make sure it is a heavy-rated one with a single plug-in. Power tools require more power and a standard home extension cord will not suffice. Get a 25 ft., 12-gauge, single-end cord and you’ll be set!
  3. FINISHING NAILER // Perfect for arts & crafts, or installing base, crown, and casing- an assortment of all gauges of air nailers is a must. Get a 16ga., 18ga., and a 23ga. nailer and you will be able to join small intricate wall mouldings or large bulky baseboard.
  4. BLUETOOTH EAR PROTECTION HEADPHONES // These are perfect for loud projects, snow blowing, lawn mowing, and other noisy home improvement tasks.
  5. IMPACT DRIVER // This is probably our most used tool. Emmett always has this in his hand.
  6. MITER SAW // Whether you’re building something small or installing millwork, this saw is a must. We’ve used it for every single renovation project we’ve tackled.
  7. AIR COMPRESSOR // We use this small air compressor for running nail guns, including the framing nailer. However, we also use it around the house- putting air in our vehicle tires, etc.
  8. OSCILLATING TOOL // This is another tool that sees a lot of use. It’s great for demo, cutting, and is very versatile!
  9. LASER MEASURE // Once you have one of these, you won’t want to use your old tape measure ever again. It’s so quick and easy.
  10. CORDLESS SCREW DRIVER // This is the perfect gift for any homeowner!
  11. GORILLA HOOKS // No more hammer, nails, or screws. Basically everything you see hanging on the walls in our home is hung with these nifty little guys. They used to be called “hercules hooks” but have since rebranded. I believe they also started as an “As Seen on TV” thing. Hah! Emmett and I both swear by these hooks. They hold a lot of weight, are easy to install, and you don’t have to worry about your art or mirrors crashing to the ground (or finding studs).
  12. MITER CLAMP SET // Miter clamps allow you to put glue on the two pieces clamp them together and then finish with a nail or two. Your miters will be next level, but more importantly they will stay together until the end of time.
  13. WET / DRY SHOP VAC // You know me… I clean. I clean a lot. I can’t stand living amongst the chaos of a construction zone (ugh drywall dust). I’m always following Emmett around with the shop vac.
  14. NAIL SET AND COUNTER PUNCH // This spring nail set easily and precisely sets your proud nail, damaging as little of the surrounding area as possible.
  15. DEWALT COMBO KIT // This tool set includes an impact driver, a drill, circular saw, and reciprocating saw. A drill allows you to attach different drill bits, a circular saw can rip plywood and other sheet goods, and the reciprocating saw is our demo tool of choice.
  16. STEP LADDER // I’m 5’6″… not the tallest. Our step stool is too short for me to reach the ceiling or trim. That’s a problem because I do all of the painting around here. Rather than lugging out the big, heavy ladder, this step ladder has an extra step that allows me to finally reach higher. It’s lightweight, foldable, and compact. I have yet to fall off of it (knocking on wood), so that’s a win! Would recommend.
  17. PLASTIC SAW HORSES // Use these for a temporary work bench, painting stands, and pretty much anything else to keep you from crawling around on the ground.
  18. LASER LEVEL // I hate math. I love the convenience of setting up a laser level and knowing exactly where to lay tile, hang art, install trim, etc. It doesn’t get easier. With a single click (and zero measuring) you have a perfectly accurate line to start your project with confidence.

Also, I get ultra-focused on Thanksgiving, and the next thing I know I barely have time to get Christmas gifts.😱 I’m especially intrigued by the chocolate recommendations since I know you’re a connoisseur! The game section is another fun one! Remember parties? Sigh. (Hues & Clues?! YES!) And who am I kidding, I’m constantly buying “presents” for the pups! I’m both repelled and fascinated by the cricket treats, but you definitely made my day with the stoneware scoop idea. *headslap* Jason has eaten not one, but TWO food scoops (so far).     I started my holiday shopping yesterday and placed an order at Tuesday Made 😍 I’m excited to try the woodland candles this year. And I have been searching for the faux garland since we moved into this house for our small staircase bannister leading from the front entry to our living and kitchen level. I think the wispy pine garland you have stocked will be the perfect ❤️ And I also couldn’t resist the natural mango wood bead string to pair with it. I think it will add to that natural element I work into my holiday decor scheme. You’ve got me in the holiday spirit and motivation to get ahead on my shopping 🥰 It’s been tougher this year cause it still feels like summer/fall as we have been blessed with gorgeous weather and I’m still swimming in our pool 😳 The leaves are still on the trees and I’m enjoying every moment outside so holiday shopping has not been on my mind, so thanks so much for these fantastic gift ideas to get me going 🥳🌲😉 Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

I have used your past guides for later in the year on Father’s Day, birthdays, etc. (Emmett’s guide helped me several times for my husband). Seriously, there’s so many good ideas. Cannot wait to go back and shop for several people this year.
    Now that my kiddos will be home for the holidays..games are fun. We usually play bingo with prizes Christmas Eve but need more choices for the remainder of the holidays. Air hockey champion…you go girl! That’s awesome!

    1. Thanks, Sarah! It’s always a fun holiday activity I look forward to. I still have both- I ended up taking the Aera to our Tuesday Made office, and I have three Pura diffusers at home. I think I prefer the Pura (although Aera now makes a plug-in device that is very similar), simply because they work with popular candle brands I already know and love. I like being familiar with the fragrances and knowing exactly what I’ll get. I will say- I don’t think the Pura fragrances last nearly as long as the Aera, but it’s much smaller, so that’s probably why. I hope that helps!

  13. Ok, I just bought my boyfriend (and me, hehe) 6 pints of Jeni’s…there was free shipping over $65 so it was the prudent decision! Now I just need to hide it at the back of the freezer until December 25th.

    I also love Ticket to Ride! I’m almost afraid to play again because I’m currently undefeated! Haha. I first played it at a board game cafe, and we stayed until midnight to finish the game. I could use a new deck of cards. We love to play cribbage and my only deck is one I got for free from Subaru. Hopefully, I’ve dropped that hint enough! I have Telestrations on my list this year. One of my family members takes forever to contemplate his next move, so I think Telestrations will be more fast-paced!
