2021 Holiday Gift Guide

20201 Holiday Gift Guide - roomfortuesday.com Each holiday season, I share an annual gift guide. It’s something I really look forward to compiling each year, because I love gifting. I’m following tradition and am sharing one giant annual gift guide you can easily refer to all season long! It’s filled with products of all types for everyone on your list. It includes items from small businesses, artists, makers, designers, and all your favorite retail stores… it also includes products that support good causes, budget-friendly items, and so many things Emmett & I own, use, and enjoy. Gift guides always take an insane amount of time, and I want you to know that this one was carefully curated with love. I’ve spent the past three weeks working on it and designing this, in an effort to hopefully make your holiday shopping feel inspired, exciting, and easy. I truly hope it saves you time and helps build excitement for the season ahead! At the very least, it’s fun to brainstorm.

I also wanted you to know, many of the links in this gift guide are affiliate links- meaning I make a tiny commission if you make a purchase. If you are going to buy something, I’d be so appreciative if you use the links found within this gift guide! It’s what keeps my blog up and running. As always, thank you for your support and friendship! On another note, if you’re not doing gifts or are trying to avoid spending this year- please don’t feel pressure. I have plenty of DIY gift ideas, and don’t forget how much fun vintage shopping or baking treats for loved ones can be. My point being- you do what feels best this holiday season. I’ve also tried to accommodate everyone by sharing a bit earlier this year, as I had lots of requests for that. Ready to see my finds and selections for 2021?! Click through and enjoy!

To shop my gift guide, click directly on the items within each collage OR use the numbered links at the bottom (not all items are clickable). Keep on scrolling or use the table of contents to hop around- this is a BIG gift guide, packed full of ideas, and I’ve tried to make it as easy-to-navigate as possible. Enjoy, and have a happy holiday season!

  4. HAIR TIES // I don’t wear hair ties that often, but when I need to- these are the ones I love. They don’t damage your hair, hold even fine hair in place, and didn’t fall out when I was scuba diving and putting them to the test (like other brands).

Renovating & Home Improvement
  1. RETRACTABLE PEN HOLDER // Put either a pen, pencil, or marker in it. Clip it to your shirt. You will never have to search for your marking device ever again while working on projects!
  2. HEAVY DUTY EXTENSION CORD //If you’re going to have just one extension cord, make sure it is a heavy-rated one with a single plug-in. Power tools require more power and a standard home extension cord will not suffice. Get a 25 ft., 12-gauge, single-end cord and you’ll be set!
  3. FINISHING NAILER // Perfect for arts & crafts, or installing base, crown, and casing- an assortment of all gauges of air nailers is a must. Get a 16ga., 18ga., and a 23ga. nailer and you will be able to join small intricate wall mouldings or large bulky baseboard.
  4. BLUETOOTH EAR PROTECTION HEADPHONES // These are perfect for loud projects, snow blowing, lawn mowing, and other noisy home improvement tasks.
  5. IMPACT DRIVER // This is probably our most used tool. Emmett always has this in his hand.
  6. MITER SAW // Whether you’re building something small or installing millwork, this saw is a must. We’ve used it for every single renovation project we’ve tackled.
  7. AIR COMPRESSOR // We use this small air compressor for running nail guns, including the framing nailer. However, we also use it around the house- putting air in our vehicle tires, etc.
  8. OSCILLATING TOOL // This is another tool that sees a lot of use. It’s great for demo, cutting, and is very versatile!
  9. LASER MEASURE // Once you have one of these, you won’t want to use your old tape measure ever again. It’s so quick and easy.
  10. CORDLESS SCREW DRIVER // This is the perfect gift for any homeowner!
  11. GORILLA HOOKS // No more hammer, nails, or screws. Basically everything you see hanging on the walls in our home is hung with these nifty little guys. They used to be called “hercules hooks” but have since rebranded. I believe they also started as an “As Seen on TV” thing. Hah! Emmett and I both swear by these hooks. They hold a lot of weight, are easy to install, and you don’t have to worry about your art or mirrors crashing to the ground (or finding studs).
  12. MITER CLAMP SET // Miter clamps allow you to put glue on the two pieces clamp them together and then finish with a nail or two. Your miters will be next level, but more importantly they will stay together until the end of time.
  13. WET / DRY SHOP VAC // You know me… I clean. I clean a lot. I can’t stand living amongst the chaos of a construction zone (ugh drywall dust). I’m always following Emmett around with the shop vac.
  14. NAIL SET AND COUNTER PUNCH // This spring nail set easily and precisely sets your proud nail, damaging as little of the surrounding area as possible.
  15. DEWALT COMBO KIT // This tool set includes an impact driver, a drill, circular saw, and reciprocating saw. A drill allows you to attach different drill bits, a circular saw can rip plywood and other sheet goods, and the reciprocating saw is our demo tool of choice.
  16. STEP LADDER // I’m 5’6″… not the tallest. Our step stool is too short for me to reach the ceiling or trim. That’s a problem because I do all of the painting around here. Rather than lugging out the big, heavy ladder, this step ladder has an extra step that allows me to finally reach higher. It’s lightweight, foldable, and compact. I have yet to fall off of it (knocking on wood), so that’s a win! Would recommend.
  17. PLASTIC SAW HORSES // Use these for a temporary work bench, painting stands, and pretty much anything else to keep you from crawling around on the ground.
  18. LASER LEVEL // I hate math. I love the convenience of setting up a laser level and knowing exactly where to lay tile, hang art, install trim, etc. It doesn’t get easier. With a single click (and zero measuring) you have a perfectly accurate line to start your project with confidence.

Good morning and holy wowza! I think you outdid yourself this year. Talk about comprehensive. I only exchange gifts with a couple of folks, but I love having fresh ideas to consider. Also, I get ultra-focused on Thanksgiving, and the next thing I know I barely have time to get Christmas gifts.😱 I’m especially intrigued by the chocolate recommendations since I know you’re a connoisseur! The game section is another fun one! Remember parties? Sigh. (Hues & Clues?! YES!) And who am I kidding, I’m constantly buying “presents” for the pups! I’m both repelled and fascinated by the cricket treats, but you definitely made my day with the stoneware scoop idea. *headslap* Jason has eaten not one, but TWO food scoops (so far). One of them was metal. Your desk & office products always make me wish I was a wfh girl. Gimme all the pens, clips and pads! So many interesting and beautiful ideas! I’m sure I’ll be referencing this and recommending it to friends! Thank you for curating such a spectacular selection! Cheers to the holidays!💜🎁

Yay! Thank you!! I just love gifting- whether I’m picking out something unique or unexpected- or baking gifts for neighbors… it’s my favorite. I love a good surprise, and don’t get me started on the dogs. They LOVE Christmas. Haha! Those two are spoiled. You’ll have to let me know if Joe & Jason try the cricket treats. That is Cash & Crosby’s absolute favorite. They go bonkers for them! Jason ate TWO food scoops- and a metal one? How?! Naughty boy! Lol! It’s a good thing he’s so adorable. Laurie Anne and her husband are spending Christmas with us this year, so I’m excited for the holidays! Here’s to a great week ahead and a fun holiday season. xox

This is amazing Sarah! Wow. Thank you. You always have the best gift guides but this one is over the top! I need to bookmark this page as I will need to revisit this for the next year for all of my gifting needs. Also I think it was awfully sweet of you to give us all of these guides at once.

I love hearing that! Thank you, Traci :) Definitely bookmark- hopefully it will prove to be helpful in the future. I’m just happy it’s fun to comb through and can save some people a little time. I enjoy pulling these together each year! Have a great holiday ahead!

Wow! This is amazing 🤩 What a fabulous resource you have created Sarah. I will be combing through these guides for days…..A wealth of shopping info, especially when you have no idea what to buy. Extremely helpful indeed 👍
I started my holiday shopping yesterday and placed an order at Tuesday Made 😍 I’m excited to try the woodland candles this year. And I have been searching for the faux garland since we moved into this house for our small staircase bannister leading from the front entry to our living and kitchen level. I think the wispy pine garland you have stocked will be the perfect ❤️ And I also couldn’t resist the natural mango wood bead string to pair with it. I think it will add to that natural element I work into my holiday decor scheme. You’ve got me in the holiday spirit and motivation to get ahead on my shopping 🥰 It’s been tougher this year cause it still feels like summer/fall as we have been blessed with gorgeous weather and I’m still swimming in our pool 😳 The leaves are still on the trees and I’m enjoying every moment outside so holiday shopping has not been on my mind, so thanks so much for these fantastic gift ideas to get me going 🥳🌲😉 Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

I hope it’s a fun and inspiring resource! Thanks Colleen :) I love combing through gift guides because they really get my wheels turning for unique and thoughtful gift ideas. I saw your order come in yesterday and it made my day! Thank you!! Emmett is packing it up this evening and it will be to you shortly. I hope you love the Woodland candles- let me know what you think! And- that garland is my all-time favorite. It’s so beautiful and wispy. If you have time, send a photo… I’d love to see how you install it! I can’t believe you’re still swimming!! What kind of crazy weather is going on up there? Haha! It actually felt pretty spring-like here last week, but this week it is cooler. I think by the next couple weeks I’ll be into the holiday spirit. Here’s to hoping! I may or may not be listening to Christmas music already. Lol! Have a great week! xo

I have so many great ideas saved thanks to these gift guides! I’ll be referencing these for the next few weeks. I especially find the travel items helpful. Jeff definitely needs some work travel upgrades to make his life on the road more comfortable. There’s so much packed in here! I am thankful for the time and energy you put into creating these, and will absolutely support the blog by purchasing from your links. I can’t believe it’s already gifting season, but here we are. I’m still in shock at just how much you packed into this post, but having browsed each guide I can honestly say these were thoughtfully curated. You’ve made me even more excited to gift this season. I hope your week is off to a lovely start Sarah! Rocky-Roo is off to the vet for his neuter this morning. Fingers crossed this helps with the puppy rambunctiousness, haha! Happy Monday. Xo
PS: I’m not sure if you changed something with the mobile site for the blog, but if you did, it worked! This is the first time in forever that I didn’t have to request the desktop site to scroll or comment without being bumped to the top of the page continually. It was a wonderful experience this morning! Thank you for whatever change you made!

Yay!! So happy to hear that, Lauren! Now that we’re getting back into the swing of travel, I’m excited to add a few new things to my list. Have I told you how much I appreciate your support and friendship lately? Thank you SO much for both of those things. It really means a lot to me! Good luck with Rocky at the vet today… poor guy. Fingers crossed you can keep him chill while he’s healing. That’s always the hardest part! Here’s to a wonderful week ahead. The only thing I did was disable my ads (its an all or nothing sort of thing)- I didn’t want to clunk up and already busy gift guide. Now that I know that though, I’m going to try to figure out a way to rework the ads for a better experience. Unfortunately, they’re necessary to keep the blog and the shop going, but I’ll try to brainstorm a better solution. Thank you for letting me know!! xo

Sarah, thank you so much for all your time and effort putting this gift guide together. You have made it so easy to shop and buy. I have used your past guides for later in the year on Father’s Day, birthdays, etc. (Emmett’s guide helped me several times for my husband). Seriously, there’s so many good ideas. Cannot wait to go back and shop for several people this year.
Now that my kiddos will be home for the holidays..games are fun. We usually play bingo with prizes Christmas Eve but need more choices for the remainder of the holidays. Air hockey champion…you go girl! That’s awesome!
Your pet guide is going to get me in trouble…whose kidding, all of your guides are just so well thought out and helpful. You are the best! Happy Monday! Our daughter is taking mine and my husbands holiday photos this evening. Wish us luck! Ha!

I hope it’s helpful, Danna! Maybe it will spark some fun ideas for family members this year :) I love hearing that Emmett’s portion of the guide has been useful to you in the past- that’s awesome! Our friends are visiting for Christmas this year, so I definitely want to buy a few new games. That’s one of our favorite things to do with friends and family during the holidays- so much fun. I love your idea of bingo with prizes! Have the most wonderful time this evening getting your photos taken- how special that you’re daughter is doing them. Those will be ones you cherish forever! xo

Well, there went my Monday morning, although what an amazing way to start a week! Soooo appreciate all the work and thought that go into your amazing gift guides, Sarah and am super grateful to have it so early, too! Such wonderful finds, my only problem is I want to buy everything on them for myself! Kidding! Mostly. 😆 Thankfully, gifting such beautiful and thoughtful finds is equally as good. ☺️ Ice cream KOOZIE?!? Had. No. Idea. I’ve been missing out, too!! Hope you have a wonderful week and thrilled to see you’re going to a 3x a week blog schedule. Maybe now I can actually keep up! 💛

Ha, yay!! I love hearing that, Anne. It’s always a fun holiday tradition for me. I hope it’s helpful this season! I definitely added some of those ice cream koozies to my Amazon cart. We also have a pint or two in the fridge and those would be so handy! I think the 3x a week blog schedule is going to be awesome. I’m excited! Thanks for your support, friend! Hope you had an amazing time in SLC! xox

Thanks for putting so much work into these lists! So many great choices. Do you prefer the Pura fresheners to the Aera? I first learned about that system from you a while back. Have you replaced it?

Thanks, Sarah! It’s always a fun holiday activity I look forward to. I still have both- I ended up taking the Aera to our Tuesday Made office, and I have three Pura diffusers at home. I think I prefer the Pura (although Aera now makes a plug-in device that is very similar), simply because they work with popular candle brands I already know and love. I like being familiar with the fragrances and knowing exactly what I’ll get. I will say- I don’t think the Pura fragrances last nearly as long as the Aera, but it’s much smaller, so that’s probably why. I hope that helps!

Ok, I just bought my boyfriend (and me, hehe) 6 pints of Jeni’s…there was free shipping over $65 so it was the prudent decision! Now I just need to hide it at the back of the freezer until December 25th.

I also love Ticket to Ride! I’m almost afraid to play again because I’m currently undefeated! Haha. I first played it at a board game cafe, and we stayed until midnight to finish the game. I could use a new deck of cards. We love to play cribbage and my only deck is one I got for free from Subaru. Hopefully, I’ve dropped that hint enough! I have Telestrations on my list this year. One of my family members takes forever to contemplate his next move, so I think Telestrations will be more fast-paced!

I love perusing your lists, both for gift ideas for others as well as ideas to add to my list!

Yessss, Jeni’s! It’s really the best, and Jeni (the ice cream queen herself) is a class act- such a nice person! I will gladly support her business. Did you see the ice cream koozie in the white elephant gift guide?! I feel like I need to buy some of those to accompany our pints here at home. I’m also undefeated at Ticket to Ride! We’re actually going to play this weekend and I’m hoping I can keep my title. Haha! It’s so much fun. I need to get on board with cribbage- it sounds super fun, and Telestrations also sounds amazing. I added that one to my list. Thank you for sharing, Brittany! xo

Your gift guides are the most incredible I have ever seen on the internet. I will refer to them all year! You are obviously an incredibly hard worker. I am also amazed by the thoughtful and sweet comments you take the time to write. You are a class act! I was happy to see that you reduced your posting schedule a bit. Take good care, and don’t burn yourself out…we all look so forward to your content. I hope your holidays are wonderful!
