Simple Pumpkin Spice Bread
Fall is near and so is the return of all things pumpkin. This pumpkin spice bread has been in my family for years and it is one of my absolute favorites to make when the season comes around! Not to mention it is extremely quick and easy to make. The cooler weather we’ve been having has inspired me to bake something seasonal. Let’s just say the house smelled delicious! You guys are going to want to pin this recipe because it’s an all-time favorite… or better yet- make it this weekend!
Pumpkin Spice Bread:
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter
2 eggs
1 15 oz. can of pumpkin
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. First, stir dry ingredients together (as shown above). Then, beat sugar and butter until smooth. Stir in the eggs and pumpkin. Blend in the flour mixture a little at a time.
Next, pour mixture into a greased bundt pan and bake 50-60 minutes. (Tip: I usually start with 50 minutes of cook time and then test using a toothpick or metal skewer. If the toothpick or skewer does not come out clean return to oven, testing again every three minutes until it comes out clean). Allow it to cool.
Once the bread has cooled completely (about 30 minutes), carefully turn it upside down to remove it from the pan. Continue cooling on the rack.
Lastly, slice it and enjoy! I know I’m not the only one loving on pumpkin flavored everything right now. What are some of your favorite pumpkin flavored recipes every fall? We want hear them all and test out our faves! Happy Friday!
