I know what you’re thinking…. a winter clothing post? I’ll admit, it’s a little outside of my wheelhouse. To be completely transparent (get ready for real talk)… in the totality of this year, we’ve finished absolutely zero full-scale room renovations. It was honestly a hard pill for me to swallow, but upon reflecting these past 12 months, I’ve been in a bit of a war with my body. As we tried to align, I’ve been hospitalized four times, had two surgeries, weekly scans & blood draws are my new normal, my diet has totally been flipped upside down, my mental health took a hit, and some days I feel like I don’t even recognize myself. Work, renovating, and my passion for interiors had to take a back burner to my health in 2022, and that’s something I’m very much looking forward to getting back to in the year ahead. Regardless of how this year looked for me (and on me), I wanted to end it on a high note with self love and appreciate for my body. This post represents so much more to me than just cozy winter picks for my closet (although there are some really good ones!)… it was a therapeutic one to photograph and caused me to pause, appreciate, acknowledge getting back to being comfortable in my own skin.
