Easy Watermelon Skewers

Watermelon Skewer I know what you’re thinking- there are a million versions of this combination in some form or another floating around the internet. It’s definitely the skewer of summer. However, this IS one of my favorite pairings and I wanted to create my own version of this refreshing hors d’oeuvre. Plus, it’s just in time for 4th of July. If you’re still planning food for your party this weekend, these easy watermelon skewers only take 10 minutes to assemble! Here’s what you’ll need…

Watermelon Skewer Recipe Watermelon Skewers:
1/2 watermelon, scooped into balls
1 block of feta, cubed (make sure to select a fresh block that won’t crumble!)
1  package of blackberries
balsamic glaze
pink himalayan sea salt
a handful of basil leaves

Blackberries and Feta On a skewer, add a melon ball, piece of feta (push the feta onto the stick verrry slowly), basil leaf, blackberry, followed by another melon ball.

Watermelon and Feta Skewer with Balsamic Sprinkle the skewers with pink himalayan sea salt, shred and add leftover basil, then drizzle the skewers with balsamic glaze (so good!!). This is my all time favorite, readymade balsamic glaze… it’s the perfect consistency and packs a lot of flavor for a relatively healthy glaze. I find myself drizzling it on all sorts of food.

Balsamic Watermelon Skewer Pair it with chilled white wine and you have yourself a delicious and sophisticated appetizer- perfect for any summer occasion! What are your go-to party recipes?
