Lately I’ve received more messages than usual in regards to my current office chair because it’s on super sale right now (marked down from $250 to $99). I figured I might as well round up a bunch of my favorite ROLLING desk chairs because I’ve found they can be an item that is difficult to source. If you’re also in the market for an aesthetically pleasing office or desk chair- this post is for you! Click through to shop my finds…
I’ll be the first to admit, even though I sit in my chair all day- as long as it’s comfortable, I don’t really care if it’s ergonomically rated. That’s just my personal preference- choosing a comfortable chair with a nice aesthetic. However, if you are looking for something in that specific ergonomic realm, I’d highly recommend this Herman Miller office chair. It also depends on how much you’re sitting in the chair. I’m in my office ALL the time, but I know others just use their office or workspace every so often and not for hours on end. I get this question a lot, “is your current desk chair comfortable?” I honestly think it is and I sit here all day, but it’s really just a personal preference. Comfort levels are different for everyone. Check out some of my favorites below:

Obviously I have #2 and love it. Visually, some of my top contenders include: #3, #8, #15, and #17. I also think vintage options are fun! Remember when I reupholstered this chair for the little built-in desk area in my kitchen? It’s pretty comfortable and the casters on the legs are really functional for rolling.

What are you top picks from my roundup? I’m looking forward to transforming the home office in current house- the hardwood floor is already underway. Emmett also wants his own “office / man room” in the basement, so who knows- maybe there will be more than one office transformation to share with you all someday!

In my classrooms over the years, I have had a plethora of ugly, cheap hand-me-down chairs. (Neither sitting nor style are priorities in school…) I actually think I like the looks of your chair the best! The presence of the casters is really minimized. I also like #8, #13 and #16, but a home office is definitely not a priority for this girl. I am looking forward to a beautiful reveal of yours though! The floors are making me a little giddy. 😍

I know how that goes… I come from a family of teachers. I don’t know how you all do it! Patience, shaping the lives of youths, and working so much outside of the classroom- I definitely wouldn’t want a home office to bring even more home, if I were a teacher. haha! Have a great day!

Fabulous finds, this page has been saved! Stylish office chairs are difficult to find. I hope to some day (soon?!) furnish our front living room, and in the space I am planning for a desk/computer (for me!) that will look out our big windows. Right now our computer is in the mancave, and I’m pretty sure I’m sitting on a Staples Daily Special office chair – comfy but far from stylish.

Yay! Happy it was helpful, Karen. Desk chairs really are hard to find. Good luck with the workspace in your living room- that sounds perfect! I know we’ll eventually also have a “mancave” in the basement because that’s basically Emmett’s life goal. HAHA!

I’m still so obsessed with the chair you recovered for your nook! I’d love to find a similar one, I think it’s a perfect office chair :) and I’m the same, I don’t care much about the ergonomics, just as long as I think it’s comfy!

I really love that chair! I’m thinking once my office is finished, it will move into that space :)

I LOVE #8, the green velvet chair with wood arms, can’t believe it’s from Pottery Barn!
