I’m the type of person who loves a good kit. I always have… even during my childhood, I’d ask for art or cooking kits every Christmas. There’s just something about having everything you need to create something wonderful that is fulfilling and fun. That’s why when Cooking Gift Set Co. reached out and offered to host a holiday giveaway, I was 100% on board! I love the idea of gifting an experience- or better yet, an item that promotes gathering and being social with those you love. The best part? The outcome is a variety of delicious cocktails. Click through to see which one I tried and enter to win a kit for yourself!
I opted to try the festive red, classic mulled wine. This was SO much easier than the last time I made mulled wine– and every bit as delicious. In addition to red wine, you can also concoct a variety of beverages from one kit… mulled white wine, cider, or spiced hot chocolate.
It was as easy as following quick instructions, popping the spices into a satchel, and simmering the mixture on the stovetop.
I also have to say, clean up was a breeze. After the wine was ready, I tossed the spice satchel into the trash…. the kit comes with five so you can make multiple recipes. Pour the cocktail into your preferred glasses and that’s all there is to it! The entire process took about 10 minutes, tops.
This kit is super fitting for the holiday season and entertaining. I’m planning to gift some of these to my girlfriends, so we can enjoy them together! It would also be helpful for hosting on the fly, since it’s so quick and easy.
Is anyone else a big fan of hot cocktails in the winter? I’m constantly seeking all the cozy vibes. After making this, I lit a candle and invited a friend over to taste test with me. It ended up being an unexpected, fun evening of chic flicks and catching up.
To my fellow wine snobs out there… those glasses aren’t going to fill themselves. Take 20% off your entire order with the code Tuesday (offer valid until 12/25/16), and enter below to win your own Mulled Wine Brewing Kit! We’ll be choosing two winners in one week.
