Get the Look : Modern French Apartment
Every once in awhile, I come across a home or room tour worth sharing. Maybe it was the gloomy weather yesterday here in Salt Lake, but this gray, modern French apartment is stuck on my mind. It is so beautiful, chic, and collected in the most simple way. There are so many gorgeous, contrasting textures happening throughout this home and I can’t help but wish I had a European apartment like this one. Well- I have a real treat for you, I created a complete guide for each lovely space in this tour. Click through and you’ll see exactly what I mean…
01: abstract painting // 02: large modern vase // 03: linen table cloth // 04: round dining table // 05: vintage cane back dining chairs (yes, those are my chairs and they work perfectly for this- they are upholstered in FRENCH fabric!!)
Isn’t this super cozy for a minimal kitchen? I’m really into the cabinetry color mixed with the polished carrara marble… soft and subdued meets hard and cool in the most perfect way.
We’re waiting on new windows to arrive at our new home, but the kitchen window was an important one. Our previous kitchen had a window that only slid up and down. I wanted to be able to fully open the window above the sink, much like the one above. It has a charming feel, right?
01: pendant light // 02: modern faucet // 03: undermount sink // 04: copper pots // 05: hand wash // 06: dish towel // 07: kitchen aid mixer
Don’t even get me started on the terrace and outdoor space… I wouldn’t even mind the rainy, gloomy weather. I could certainly get used to having my morning coffee here! I’m guessing at night, it’s just as magical… string lights glowing, glass of wine in hand, snuggled in a cozy throw, gazing over a lit up city.
01: black outdoor string lights // 02: knit cushion cover // 03: cushion cover // 04: vintage rattan patio set // 05: coffee cups and saucer set // 06: marble and iron bistro table // 07: knit throw // 08: basket set // 09: round jute rug
Back inside, there’s a perfect chic bathroom that pairs traditional and modern in the best way. The soft gray clawfoot tub totally compliments glossy tile and polished chrome plumbing fixtures (ahem, I want you towel warmer). I also spy a modern sink in the corner with shiny tapered legs.
01: rain shower head // 02: linen shower curtain // 03: modern glossy tile // 04: heated towel rack // 05: clawfoot tub // 06: pedestal sink // 07: ginger apothecary jar // 08: chest of drawers // 09: bath towel // 10: patterned tile
The bedroom boasts a cozy and comfortable aesthetic. Linen bedding is a must, paired with subdued artwork and sophisticated furniture, this space is minimal in objects- but not in style.
01: canopy bed // 02: figure drawing // 03: marble bedside lamp // 04: nightstand // 05: linen bedding // 06: textured throw // 07: cozy area rug
If you’re eager to bring this look home, I don’t blame you. I’m already picking out elements I can incorporate into my new home! Things I’m taking from this tour? The blending of relaxation and sophistication, the soft and relaxing color palette, as well as the contrasting textures. What are your favorite elements from this French apartment? I told you it was good!!
