Facebook Marketplace Finds : Portland, OR

Facebook Marketplace Finds : Portland, OR - roomfortuesday.comIt’s already time for another Facebook Marketplace finds post! Last month I received the most requests for Portland, so we’re scouring Oregon for treasure today! This was actually one of the fastest FBMP roundups I’ve ever pulled together. There were so many good things floating around my feed, I didn’t spend much time actively searching- I love when that happens. If you’re curious to see what I found, click through!

*Photo disclaimer… I pulled the following images directly from Facebook Marketplace, so the size and quality of some isn’t the best. Ready to see my finds?

Entry Table

Facebook Marketplace Finds : Portland, OR - roomfortuesday.comYou know I have a soft spot for demilune tables and this one has an incredible shape with beautiful, intricate details! This table is only $75 and also includes a gorgeous mirror! This won’t last long… I think the seller needs it gone before Saturday and it’s priced to sell.

Antique Brass Picture Light

Facebook Marketplace Finds : Portland, OR - roomfortuesday.comI cannot even believe this antique brass picture light is only $25- and it’s Visual Comfort brand (the best of the best when it comes to designer light fixtures). Someone needs to grab this and install it over a beautiful piece of art.

Dining Chairs

Facebook Marketplace Finds : Portland, OR - roomfortuesday.comAnother steal… four matching dining chairs for $50! What is with these insane prices in Portland?! For some reason, I expected everything to be super expensive. While the upholstery isn’t my favorite, the timeless chair frame is absolutely stunning (the bones are good), and you can easily reupholster these to better fit your preferred aesthetic. These are classic.

Marble Chess Set

Facebook Marketplace Finds : Portland, OR - roomfortuesday.comIf you have a game table begging for something beautiful or added interest, look no further. This heavy marble chess set is really nice, and it’s only $34! My step father has a marble chess set and he asked if I wanted it (obviously I said yes!), then my mom gave it to my brother, not knowing he said I could have it. I’m going to have to fight him for it. Haha!

Antique Cabinet

Facebook Marketplace Finds : Portland, OR - roomfortuesday.comThough it’s tough to tell because of the blurry images, this antique cabinet looks really special! I love the wood tone, the hardware, and the traditional lines. The seller believes it is from the 1930s- it’s super cool. It’s currently listed at $80 and I think that’s definitely a fair price.

Nightstands

Facebook Marketplace Finds : Portland, OR - roomfortuesday.comThese nightstands could be really amazing in the right space. I like the weight of them, that they have open AND closed storage, and the overall design. They’re Tommy Bahama brand, which is higher-end, and they’re listed at $450. I’d offer $350 or $400 and see what happens. They’re a great pair!

Wrought Iron Patio Chairs

Facebook Marketplace Finds : Portland, OR - roomfortuesday.comWrought iron patio chairs for $25?! They’re so good! You already know I’m into this look… remember my patio chair makeover last summer? Someone snag these and make a couple french pleated or tufted cushions for them. Perfect timing for spring & summer!

Blue & White Candleholders

Facebook Marketplace Finds : Portland, OR - roomfortuesday.comI know, I know… I’m totally on a blue & white porcelain kick. These vintage brass candleholders are so charming and unique! They’re only $25, which seems like a great deal to me. Can’t you just imagine some neutral or blue color candles in them? Timeless!

Barley Twist Table

Facebook Marketplace Finds : Portland, OR - roomfortuesday.comI’ve also been loving barley twist furniture lately. I’ve been searching locally for some cool twisted wood pieces with no luck. This side table has a great looking frame, nice finish color, and is also affordable at $120. I’d try offering $100 and see if they bite.

Vintage Mirror

Facebook Marketplace Finds : Portland, OR - roomfortuesday.comLast, but not least- this vintage wall mirror is insanely gorgeous! It’s 24 inches tall (a nice size) and is listed at $15!! Again- these prices seem crazy to me. Nothing in my local area is that inexpensive. I hope this one finds a good home… what a frame!

  1. Wow! I don’t even have a place for it, and I’m tempted to ask if the seller will ship that picture light. As a person who has spent a fair amount of time in Portland (admittedly, not recently), I am stunned at those prices! I would have bet you would find amazing items at dealer prices. I’m intrigued by that little cabinet; the scale seems so versatile. Tommy Bahama isn’t generally my style, but those nightstands are a great size and pretty, traditional style. I rarely look for household items on FBMP, but I would snap up those candlesticks in a heartbeat! Love, love, love the barley twist! I think I need to do a little internet searching for more examples. And finally, $15 for that mirror is cheaper than a thrift store! Crazy. Not only do these FBMP posts provide intriguing glimpses into other cities, but they really benefit my algorithm! Thanks! And, is anyone else shocked that it’s Wednesday already? Happy 2 Days to Pizza Friday!🤣💜

    1. You should definitely ask the seller to ship! That light is a steal. I couldn’t believe the prices. I definitely expected everything to be expensive. I’m with you on Tommy Bahama, but those nightstands are really gorgeous. I love the shape and scale! Maybe the next ‘Best of Etsy’ post is on barley twist furniture? That could be a fun roundup! I’ve been saving a lot of that anyway lately. I’m happy that these posts are helping your algorithm. I save all the things (even in different cities) and I feel like it’s benefiting my FBMP feed. Emmett and I both feel like this week is dragging, lol! We were talking about that last night. I think it’s because we’ve been having tech issues and have been without internet, so we’re actually stopping work at a decent hour. Definitely counting down until pizza Friday though. I got a new dough recipe to try this week! Hope you have a good day, Peggi :) xo

    1. I’m adding Milwaukee to the list :) One vote as of now. Thanks Amy!

    1. Adding Boston to the list- thanks Kelley!

  2. Holy geez!! I am shocked at the pricing in Portland-I expected it to be similar to California prices. Such incredible finds! The demilune table has such a great shape, and looks to be in great condition. The picture light is an amazing bargain! For me though, I’d snag the patio chairs and the blue and white candle sticks if I lived closer. Those candlesticks are a dream!! I wish shipping were an option. Incredible finds Sarah! Like Peggi, I’ve noticed that these roundups have shifted my algorithm for local finds and I’m not mad about it! I just stopped mid scroll on a writing desk that looks similar to your nightstand. Here for all the treasure hunting no matter what city it’s in! Have an amazing Wednesday! (How is it already Wednesday?)

    1. Right?! I was amazed! Talk about hitting the jackpot in Portland. I assumed it would also be similar to California pricing. I want all of the things from this roundup. Haha! If you save a lot of these items from the FBMP posts, it should help to alter your algorithm. I’m so glad it’s working! I waste way too much time on Facebook Marketplace, so we might as well all benefit. Haha! Hope you’re having a good Wednesday so far. We just got our internet back (finally), so I’m playing catch up. xox

  3. Jennifer Laura says:

Love that marble chess set, my parents have a beautiful one and I’m currently using the board as a tray in my bedroom- it’s so beautiful!!

    1. I love the idea of using it as a tray! That’s so smart. I’m still holding out hope that I can steal the marble one from my brother. Haha!

  4. Amazed at the prices too Sarah! Great finds! I’m like Peggi and want that picture light. Legs on a table or dresser always pull me in. Like the demilune table and the barley twist table.
Hope your day is wonderful! Portland people, you need to snag some of these pieces up and then show us where you put them!

    1. Can you believe those prices?! I’m ready to take a road trip to Portland and fill up my car. Haha! I also hope some friends and blog readers can snag some of these and show us how they’re styled. Lots of goodness in this post. Happy Wednesday, Danna :) xox

    1. Added to the list, Emily! Thank you

  5. Sarah! These are such great finds. I’m drooling over that demilune table. Wish I was near Portland! Too bad my town is way too small to end up on one of these. I’m a little jealous ; )

    1. Thanks, Jamie! I know- I wish I were closer to Portland too… amazing options with incredible prices! What is your small town? I usually search within a 100 mile radius, so maybe I can find a city near you that captures your town as well :)

  6. Hi Sarah, shop fbmp frequently, with PDX set as my location, great finds! As previous grownup in PDX then moved across the river to WA in my adulthood, Portland is not the same city I remember so fondly. Graffiti is everywhere! Makeshift tents and their debris, litter everywhere the eye can see. It breaks my heart! Drove south on the 5 today about 25 miles for some plant shopping. It’s stunning! Once out of the city, is lessens substantially. IMO folks don’t feel safe and don’t want to shop in PDX. Which is why pricing is low. Thanks for sharing your finds!

    1. Thanks Debra! That’s interesting insight and certainly sad to hear about the increasing homeless population and litter situation. I haven’t been to Portland in years, but I have friends who live there and love it. Oregon is such a beautiful state. I particularly love the coast. Hope you have a great weekend!

  7. Kennewick, Washington…I know its too small so maybe Spokane or Seattle?

    1. Thanks, Teri! I’m adding it to the list! I usually search in a 100 mile radius, so that would probably capture all of those :)

  8. Fabulous finds! Totally shocked that the Portland prices are so reasonable, too. As for cities, I’m curious about Charlottesville, VA (&/or DC), Santa Fe & Austin. I don’t “think” you’ve done any of those…

    1. Right? I hope some Portland friends and readers were able to grab some cool things from this one! I haven’t tackled any of those cities- thank you. I added them all to the list :) xo

  9. How about a Columbus Ohio FBMP post ?

  10. Nancy Alt says:

Can you please let me know how to purchase the carpet under the blue sofa. I love it and have been looking for something just like that and cannot find.

  11. Dawn Spencer says:

I’m so late to this party, but that did not stop me from emailing the seller of that art light and asking if she would be willing to ship. I am sure it’s sold, but it’s not marked as sold so I thought I’d try. I need it! :)

My vote for the next FBMP post is for Dallas, Texas.
