Entryway

Our entryway has been completed for quite some time now. I wish I had before photos of this space to share. Since I don’t, I’ll paint a vivid image for you: red chinoserie wallpaper, green and white tiled floor, and the largest collection of walking canes I have seen in my life. After revamping this space, our beloved dog decided to eat our first rug for the new entryway. In a way, I am glad she did because not long after, I found this beauty from the Lulu & Georgia Vintage Market. The one-of-a-kind piece pulls all the surrounding colors together perfectly – it’s like it was made for this room!

The Bonjour door plaque was on our front door when we moved in and is one of the many charming details in this home that I refuse to part with. The entryway is probably the most used space in our home. Since we don’t really have a backyard, we take Piper in and out of this door multiple times each day. During the rainy spring and cold winter, boots and umbrellas are kept in this room at all times.

When creating this space, our goal was functionality and style. Being in the center of the home, I wanted this space to feel uniform with the surrounding living areas.

Finally, since she photobombed the shoot, how could I possibly leave “queen Piper” out of this post? The new rug is her throne and we are hoping this one stays around for awhile!
