Beauty Giveaway

skin_giveaway

Based on all of our spring posts, we’re obviously excited about warmer weather and the activities that come along with it! As far as beauty is concerned, it’s always seems like a difficult transition. Winter leaves your skin dry, manicures and pedicures are a must, and preparing or protecting your skin from the sun always seem like an annoying process. Don’t worry- help is here! We’ve teamed up with one of our favorite local beauty brands, Skin An Apothecary, and will be celebrating the changing weather and sunshine with a giveaway.

I’ve been coveting their products for a few months now and they’ve already made their way into my daily routine. I’m a big fan of the soy body whip, as well as salt scrub. I just finished my second treatment of accutane and to say my skin is dry would be the understatement of the year. This lotion has not only helped pull moisture back into my skin, but it actually lasts without feeling greasy.

The history behind the company is really fascinating and I love supporting small businesses that actually care about the quality of their ingredients. Formerly of Colorado, Skin an Apothecary is now whipping up small batches by hand in the midwest.

Their products range from anything skin related: scrubs, body whips, body wash, soaps, hand and foot creams, lip care, and even soy candles. I’m pretty sure they’ve invented a scent for everyone. With summer and traveling on my mind, I’ve been using their signature Santorini scent, but for the guys or for those of you who have allergies, Skin carries plenty of unscented items as well.

I’ve been hoarding the travel sizes for summer adventures. We’re planning a few getaways and these will be perfect to take along.

I also like keeping quality products on hand for guests and this is amazing for these occasions. We love having family and friends stay over and it’s always nice to make them feel special and at home. I’ll add a few extra details to the guest room and bath, such as lotions, shampoos, fresh flowers, and a candle. After all, I do want them to come back! Plus when traveling, even a short distance, it’s fun to have things out of the ordinary- like you would on vacation.
