I’ve never really given you guys a peek at the demo or progress photos behind my bathroom renovation, but today that’s all changing. I’m sharing the COMPLETE story on Domino Magazine in a detailed interview (so crazy!!)… complete with the not-so-glamorous moments of this space.

Congratulations on the feature, and as a fellow remodeling addict, I’m over here all giddy over the drastic transformation as if it’s my own bathroom! Haha

May 26, 2016 at 5:31 pmGorgeous and clever! Is the vanity black, or Ikea’s “black-brown”?
Sarah
May 27, 2016 at 1:28 pmThanks, Summer! I actually painted the vanity black. I initially painted it blue and then decided to take it a different direction. ha!

May 26, 2016 at 5:39 pmCongratulations on the feature! Tons of great advice! I love seeing the before and in between pictures. I think it’s so cool that you and your husband did most of it by yourselves. Your story is really motivating to people who can’t decide if they should dive in! Your home is absolutely beautiful. I love every detail!

Sarah
May 29, 2016 at 6:46 pmThank you, Carrie! I don’t have a source list for this particular look, but I have sourced my bathroom in the past. You can find a similar look here, that includes tile, plumbing fixtures, vanity, etc. Enjoy your weekend!! xo

August 19, 2016 at 7:54 pmThis is so great Sarah- what paint did you use on the ikea cabinet and was there any prep? Which cabinet front did you get. I have been wanting to do this but lacked the courage! I have the simple white non glossy surface. Any advise would I be amazing!!
Sarah
August 19, 2016 at 8:32 pmThanks, Kris! I used Benjamin Moore Black Panther. Prior to painting… I lightly sanded and primed with Zinsser primer. The cabinet front was the faux wood (really ugly but I liked the grain). It was a really fast, easy project… and four years later, it’s still holding up great! Not even a chip or flake of paint. Good luck! xo
