Last, I’ll leave you with this grilled peach caprese flatbread recipe. It’s drizzled with a balsamic glaze and looks heavenly. It’s topped with basil ribbons and I know it would taste as goods as it looks. This is another one I’m really excited to try!

Of course we also make a lot of classic options… we devour plenty of pepperoni and margherita pizzas, but it will be fun to get more creative and try some of these outside-the-box recipes this summer. 1. We make pizza on Fridays too! Usually pepperoni, mushroom, and red onion with lots of minced garlic added to the sauce for us and a cheese (sometimes with a little crumbled bacon) for our daughters. We were looking for a bit of a change last week, but didn’t want to go to the store again so we used pepperoni, hot honey, and sprinkled extra red pepper for a little more heat. It was great. I love getting the fancy and creative pizzas when we go out, but haven’t made too many at home. You’ve given me plenty of ideas to try tomorrow. Thank you!

    1. I love that, Misty! Your regular go-to pizza sounds amazing. We also love adding minced garlic to ours… and hot honey- such an incredible idea! I hope your week is off to a good start, and you enjoyed some delicious pizza over the weekend :)

  2. Dana Moss says:

We started making pizzas at home earlier this year and haven’t looked back! It ended up being much easier than I thought and WAY more delicious than the pizza around where we live. Half Baked Harvest’s Meanest Greenest Pizza has been on repeat over here. We haven’t tried her Spinach & Artichoke Pizza with Cheesy Bread Crust from your post yet. And that buffalo cauliflower pizza looks amazing too! I’m going to add those to our next pizza Friday. Have a great weekend, Sarah!

    1. It’s so fun! I live for Pizza Fridays. Haha! We’ve actually tried the Meanest Greenest pizza and that’s one of our faves too, though we haven’t had it in awhile! I’ll have to add that back into our rotation. I hope your week is off to a good start, Dana! xox

  3. Gimme all the pizza recipes! After lots of experimenting last spring, I’ve nailed my crust recipe. Since it makes two big crusts, I just parbake one and pop it in the fridge for the following Friday. Other than the base, toppings are always open for improvisation! Lately, I’ve been making pesto with whatever greens have been languishing in my fridge. I especially enjoyed a lemony kale version. From your list, anything with caramelized onions would be a hit in this house. Why haven’t I done that already? The one with radicchio and blue cheese screams Prosecco on the patio to me. (Are you not a blue cheese fan?) The butternut squash and the buffalo cauliflower both look mouth-watering! I’ve been experimenting with lots of vegan fare lately-to rave reviews! Frying? We heart a crispy crust, so I bet that would be delish! I haven’t made it in a while, but I found a Jamie Oliver recipe for a no-yeast, pan pizza that we gobbled up. So many wonderful options! Where to start? I’m heading to the garden today, and the arugula is going crazy…hmmmmm. Have a delicious weekend! Happy Pizza Friday to us all!🍕💜☀️

  4. Pizza Friiiiiidaaaay!!! To be honest we order our pizza mostly-but I’m not a huge fan of the pizza in our area. Every now and then we make pizza from home, but this year I’ve been getting in the kitchen like crazy, and am finally ready to go for it on making some different options (at least for us adults). How have you never pan fried a pizza??? That’s our go-to! We’ll take it straight out of the box and pan fry it when we order- it makes the cheese so gooey and the crust so crisp-really there’s nothing like it! The fig jam prosciutto pizza looks delectable, and the spinach artichoke with cheesy bread crust…heavenly! Carmelized onion on pizza is a big hell yes for me! I LOVE onion. I am a huge fan of flatbreads, and that honey pizza flatbread looks incredible. I think that will be the first one to try. What’s not to love about the grilled peach Naan? That one is at the top of my list.
Question: do you always make your pizza dough from scratch? Or are there any ready made dough options that taste amazing? I’ve heard rave reviews about Trader Joe’s pizza dough. Also do you get creative and add herbs or spices to your dough, or is it all about the sauce for you? I need all the tips and tricks if I’m going to do this right, lol. I’m an all in kind of gal! There’s a cute little pizza oven from World Market on my wish list, and I’ve put off getting it because we haven’t gone the homemade route often…these recipes though…I may just have a pizza oven by the end of the summer. Haha! Last question, and it’s a big one: pizza stone or straight on the oven rack? We’re a divided camp in this house, and I’ll give you one guess as to who is all about the pizza stone (hint: it isn’t me). Maybe you should do a post about the necessities of making pizza at home-complete with one of your sliders of products that are helpful for making pizza (indoors or out). You know I’m here for it all-home decor or not. There’s an entire section in my recipe book devoted to your recipes, and they’re all labeled with your name-safe to say it doesn’t bother me at all when you switch things up! Peggi, your garden sounds like a treasure trove of fresh goodness. Cheers to the weekend ladies!! Have the loveliest time of it! Xoxo

    1. I know!! I can’t believe I’ve never pan fried a pizza. It’s definitely happening… maybe this coming Friday. I’m also all about the caramelized onion- any sweet pizza is a good one in my book. Ha! I hardly ever make my dough from scratch (probably 10% of the time). I always buy the Trader Joe’s crust! They have two options: original and a garlic butter… we usually do the garlic one. It’s just so much easier and tastes the same as my homemade dough. I want a pizza oven so badly! I think when we finally renovate and rework out backyard someday, we’ll probably put one in. Right now we use a pizza stone in the Green Egg. It gives it a wood fired taste and look. You made my day with your recipe book :) I try to only share the food that we REALLY like. I hope your weekend was filled with relaxing, fun, sunshine, and pizza!! xo

  5. Always love pizza flavor combo inspiration! Thanks for sharing. I’m excited to try a lot of these.

A favorite of mine is Half Baked Harvest’s Roasted Butternut Squash Prosciutto Pizza with Caramelized Onions :)

    1. Me too, Erin! The recipes over at Half Baked Harvest are the best…. you can’t go wrong! She shares the best flavor profiles and everything is relatively simple to make- definitely my favorite food blogger :)
