What a week, my friends! I woke up thinking today was Friday… spoiler alert- it’s definitely not. Ha! After a few consecutive snow days (catch scenes from that in this post) and an incredibly busy work schedule the past few days, I found myself seeking inspiration and wanting to creatively recharge. Given I didn’t have a ton of time, I turned to Pinterest! My monthly “10 Pins” post is coming early and I couldn’t be happier. It was a much-needed break perusing the platform, gawking at beautiful images. I found a lot of images with gorgeous wood tones and neutral textures this time around (don’t worry there are also a few pops of color packed in). Another reason I love this series? For me, digging to find the accurate source of each image, often leads to the discovery of new designers and incredibly talented people I might not have found otherwise. Hopefully in addition to pretty imagery, the 10 Pins series might also help you guys discover some very talented individuals. I for one, love following along with captivating projects and discovering new designers. Click through to see what I found!

You guys know I’m a sucker for wood cabinetry. Remember our previous kitchen? This really reminds me of that space! If you click through using the source link, Marie Flanigan is sharing valuable information on the difference between quartzite and quartz!

#2 // Green Tudor Bathroom

I’m so happy my friend Patti decided to leave the existing green tile in her historic tudor home! They spent a lot of time cleaning it up and making repairs, and the end result is well worth it. I love the character and color it adds to this timeless bathroom.

#3 // Warm, Modern Breakfast Nook

There is just something about this modern breakfast nook that really does it for me. From the variety of sculptural shapes to the varied wood tones, this room feels warm, welcoming, and perfectly curated. I love the variety of organic materials used to create texture: a woven shade, the marble table, the wood chairs, and the linen curtains. Bravo!

#4 // Traditional Vignette

This vignette styled by my friend Alisa keeps popping up in my Pinterest feed… and for good reason! I love, love, love the deep green paint color and her use of vintage furniture (all found on Facebook marketplace). Spoiler alert… I’m using a toile peel-and-stick wallpaper in my mini powder room makeover. Stay tuned to see how it looks!

#5 // Contrasting Kitchen

A few things caught my attention in this image… the black french pocket doors leading into the kitchen (the gold & black contrast is perfect), the muddy green cabinetry color, and the way modern elements are mixed into this traditional space (the light fixture and island). It also feels very balanced to me.

#6 // Modern Cabin

This one was an unexpected surprise in my Pinterest feed. It’s a bit too modern for my taste, but there are lots of things I really like about it… the unique leather (or faux leather, not sure?) wrapped fireplace panels, the color palette (cognac, green, blue, gray, black), the board and batten wall paneling, and the overall streamlined lodge look.

#7 // Entryway Styling

I’m lucky to have been invited on a couple design trips that Bria also attended and had the privilege of hanging out with her in person. She is one talented and kind lady! I love the way she styled this traditional entryway. There are so many small details I appreciate in this image… the oversized baskets, the cashmere throw, that brass umbrella holder (not to mention the umbrellas inside it- LOOK at those bamboo handles), the console table, the lamp, the mirror, the striped wallpaper, the beads in the bowl,… I could go on for days. Oh, and did you notice the kitten? She would stick an adorable kitten in this perfect photo. I’m so impressed!

#8 // Perfect Powder Room

Team Stoffer does it again. I love this classic powder room. From the fun graphic floor tile to the gorgeous sink legs and grasscloth wallpaper, this simplistic room screams sophistication to me.

#9 // Modern Master Bedroom

My friends Bryan and Catherine are also design pals I met on a blogging trip. We immediately hit it off because of our Ohio roots. I’m continually impressed by the rooms and projects they reveal. My latest obsession that keeps showing up on Pinterest? This modern master bedroom.  They shared the DIY if you’re interested in replicating the look. It’s absolutely stunning. Warm and cozy modern is my favorite kind of modern… they nailed the aesthetic while keeping it cozy!

#10 // Modern Meets Organic Kitchen

Last, but certainly not least- this neutral kitchen stopped me in my tracks. From the oversized living brass hardware to the organic elements sprinkled throughout… this is another example of modern design looking very inviting. I’m instantly wishing I had more open shelves in my kitchen to style. I love the way this curated collection looks and softens the space.

Well, that’s it for 10 Pins this month! Which ones were your favorite? I’d love to hear! Was it a nice break from reality? Are you feeling inspired? Did anyone else think today was Friday? Haha! I hope not. See you back here tomorrow (on ACTUAL Friday)?

  1. 👏👏👏 You, my friend, are a mind-reading design genius! When I was trying to guess what you’d post this morning (as one does…), I thought, “Dang, too early in the month for a Pinterest post.” But, huzzah! Before I get to the pins here, did you see the rest of the home in AD from your opening image? They used velvet baffles like your basement, but they are brass-trimmed forest green velvet on a dark blue wall; I nearly cried.
Now, considering all the neutral you’ve presented, I’m pretty inspired! That green tiled bathroom is perfect! Even though it’s vintage, the color variation really reminds me of a currently popular tile (Chloe?) The neutral breakfast nook is so inviting! I really love the shape of those chairs and the casement windows; the beautiful light doesn’t hurt either. Man alive, those black and gold pocket doors and muddy green cabinets? Hubba, hubba. I totally zoomed in to confirm a leather fireplace surround?! IDK if that’s practical, but it’s certainly cool! OMG. That cat in Bria’s entry looks exactly like my girl Sunday (who’s purring on my lap at this very moment!) Leave it to Jean Stoffer to find the most gorgeous sink; I’ve never seen that shape in porcelain. I also love the probably faux dogwood branch and the minimal sconces. Love that warm, modern master and the modern kitchen. Isn’t that the joy of great design? Finding beauty and inspiration in styles different from your own! Thanks a million for a lovely beginning to my day. I definitely thought Tuesday was Friday…so that’s how my week has been going. We can do this!!💪💖

    1. Haha!! I love that you love this series (because I do too!). Ohh yes- I definitely checked out the entire tour, which is incredible. I noticed the velvet baffles too- SO pretty. I know you’re not a neutral loving human, but I feel like there are so many great textures and shapes happening in a lot of these, that they’re still very inspiring. I’m happy you approve :) I’m also not sure about the fireplace surround, but I was certainly intrigued. An UPHOLSTERED fireplace. Who thinks of that? I think it’s a cool thought. Ok, ok… why did I not know you have a cat named SUNDAY?! Obviously I’m pro naming important things days of the week. You are the coolest, Peggi!! The Stoffer fam can do no wrong in my book. I also like the legs on that sink. Good eye on the faux dogwoods. I grew up in the “Dogwood capital of the world”, AKA- a tiny tiny town in southern Indiana, so I can definitely tell the difference between real and faux. It’s convincing though! What a week that seems to be dragging on. Happy THURSDAY. See you tomorrow on real Friday? Ha! Hope your day was fabulous. xo

  2. That warm wood kitchen speaks sunshine into my heart!!! And O.M.G!!!! I’ve been crushing hard on that modern master bedroom!! I have master bedroom refresh on the brain, but waiting like a skeleton at the door for my new duvet cover to arrive. (Thanks to your roundup I ordered a new duvet and cover!) This was the perfect post! Just what I needed to warm me up on such a cold day! Thanks for sharing!

    1. Me too Lauren, me too! Catherine is a genius designing that bedroom. I can’t wait to go stay! We have family in Ohio and you better believe their Airbnb is where we’ll be staying. Ha! But really. I want to see it in person. My Amazon quilt FINALLY arrived today. I’ll share on IG stories this week. I hope yours arrived today too. xox

  3. Melanie T says:

Much to adore in each vignette you chose. I must be stuck in my Pintrest feed! How does one come accross these gorgeous Pintrest scenes for inspiration? I am loving the natural wood in all the shots you featured and am so glad it’s staging a comeback.

    1. The more you interact and pin on Pinterest, the more your feed customizes to your aesthetic, Melanie! It’s funny… if I start looking at something often (recently it has been bathroom design), my feed is filled with that. It’s kind of a balancing act to get it back to normal. Try searching the things you want to see and keep clicking until your feed recognizes your style / content preference :) I’m also loving all of the natural wood images I found! SO pretty! xo
