10 Pins : Pinterest Inspiration - roomfortuesday.comHello and happy Monday! I hope everyone’s week is off to a good start. Emmett and I spent the entire weekend packing orders for Tuesday Made, which was honestly really fun and exciting! It’s making this holiday season extra special sending beautiful things out the door to all of you. Again- thank you so much for your support. We truly appreciate it! Today, I’m kicking off the blog week with one of our favorite posts… you know what it is: 10 Pins!! This was the perfect way to unwind after all that packing on Sunday night- perusing Pinterest and soaking in lots of beautiful inspiration. Click through to see what I found and loved this month…

#1 // High Contrast Shower

Another show stopping space by the talented, Heidi Caillier… this is how designers do tile. I love the way she mixed and matched different tile and stone trim pieces creating a graphic, high-contrast look. I’m also digging the brass hardware, navy paneling, and tiny painting. For a small space, this room is stunning!

#2 // Bedside Desk

I’m making another case for the bedside desk! I think this is especially functional for a small home or a guest room. It doubles as a nightstand or bedside table, as well as a workspace and seating area! Aren’t these colors and curated items beautiful? It’s styled so well.

#3 // Simple Holiday Garland

Sometimes holiday decor is most beautiful in its simplest form. This “naked” greenery is textural and perfect for this dramatic staircase. It needs no ribbons, bows, or flashy ornaments. I’m noting the wreaths around the sconces for my decor next year- what a brilliant idea!

#4 // Blue Kitchen

You all know I love colored kitchen cabinetry, as well as wood cabinets…. this space combines both and the end result is spectacular. Everything in this space is gorgeous: the seating, the stonework, the graphic backsplash, the lighting, the cabinetry details, the grasscloth wallpaper, the styling- it’s a kitchen I could definitely see myself living with and enjoying.

#5 // Modern Bathroom

While minimal modern isn’t my preferred aesthetic, it’s a design style I certainly appreciate when done right. This beautiful English bathroom is the perfect example of modern looking inviting and functional. The key is to use organic contrasting elements throughout- like the wood stool, marble tile, and the linen roman shade.

#6 // Cottage Living Room

Basically, I love everything about this quaint cottage living room! The millwork, the drapery, the seating, the decor, the lighting, the art, the fireplace, the styling… I could go on. This is basically what my dream vacation home looks like. Maybe that will happen someday- I’m crossing my fingers!

#7 // Powder Room Sink

There is a lot of beautiful stonework to appreciate in this 10 Pins post… this powder sink is no exception. I’m into the dramatic curvy backsplash, the wall mounted faucet, and the green cabinetry color. The mirror and bud vase is also really nice.

#8 // Bedroom

I’m endlessly inspired by the designers at Park and Oak. This simple bedroom includes so many notable details: the wallpaper, the matelassé, the bed frame paired with a modern nightstand, the beautiful floral arrangement, and a classic brass sconce.

#9 // Wood Built-Ins

This entire home tour is worth checking out- trust me! This particular shot felt inspiring to me because you can see a variety of design elements. I was admiring the pedestal table, the rugs, the styling, the lighting, the kitchen in the background, the wood built-ins… Emmett is pushing for wood built-ins for my home office, and I have to say- I don’t hate the idea.

#10 // Modern Holiday Table

I figured since it’s December, we should end with a holiday tablescape. My friend Josh is an incredible artist and designer- he creates the most lovely holiday vignettes that balance modern and traditional. This simple table looks perfectly set for the season.

There we have it… another 10 Pins post in the books! I’d love to hear your favorites in the comment section below. How is everyone doing on this fine Monday? This week we have some fun blog posts on the calendar, including my annual holiday home tour!

  1. Good morning! A lovely gift of inspiration on this December Monday. Always love Heidi Caillier; that navy wall and the tiny painting do it for me. In theory, I favor the idea of a desk as a bedside table…I just never sit at my desk! That blue kitchen though. Whoa. The wood tones for me are perfect. Those countertop cabinets are my fave, and that stone wall? Dead. The color of the counters and the ziggurat detail on the island are killing me! Yeah, I could cook there. (Not to be nitpicky, but I think the kitchen could handle a bigger range.😁) Hard to beat the marble in that modern bathroom…or that brown powder room sink. Definitely some great stone in this collection! I also love those x taps. That entire G.P. Schafer project is bananas! Bananas. The bed in the Park & Oak room is my dream! Love the drama. Wood built-ins. Hmmm. I do enjoy the warmth, but it must require a whole different level of carpentry skill! Emmett’s really wanting to stretch himself.💪 I also noted that pedestal table; is it travertine? I so appreciate Josh Young’s style! I was thinking that looked like a delightful breakfast spread…then I noted the wine.🤣 Hey, it’s the holidays!
Well, thanks for a beautiful start to a new week! Congratulations again on your spectacular Tuesday Made launch!!! Cheers to new adventures!💜

    1. Good morning! It’s a frigid December morning over here- I’m wishing for snow this week. Heidi Caillier is such a talented designer- I also enjoy seeing all of her work. I like the idea of a bedside desk! I feel like that is going to happen eventually in one of our guest rooms. Like you, that kitchen was my favorite! There was so much to admire in that space. Now that you point it out, the range does look a little puny. I would’ve loved to see a beautiful french La Cornue range there instead, but again- nitpicky! haha! It’s lovely. I think the pedestal might be cerused wood, but it’s difficult to tell because I couldn’t find a non-pixelated image. I think the shape is so nice! Cheers to a beautiful new week, and thank you again for your kind words :) Speaking of adventures, how is puppy wrangling going?!

      1. Not to brag 😉, but Jason is basically potty trained. I’m pretty sure that credit goes to Joe’s fine modeling. Joe is still mostly ignoring Jason’s adoration; probably because it comes in the form of high-pitched barking and nipping. Dang, if they aren’t the cutest, though.💜 (Thus concludes my not bragging.) Thanks for asking!

        1. Already?! I’m very impressed. Crosby was a sloooow learner and when we moved into our current house- it was basically like starting over with him, ughh! Aren’t the older dogs so tolerant of the puppy shenanigans? Cash let Crosby annoy the living daylights out of him. I bet it’s so much fun watching Joe & Jason together (what perfect names for a dog duo). They’re going to be the best of friends. :) I always want to hear all the bragging dog moments and stories!

  2. Lots of inspiration here Sarah, Happy Monday! I have cottages on the brain with our own cottage project so obviously number 6 caught my attention 😍 I have to say very quaint and sophisticated indeed. I agree with Emmett I think wood built ins for your office would be fabulous, I’m picturing a warm, and moody vibe for sure. Also, the powder room by Prospect Refuge Studio is stunning 🤩
So happy Tuesday Made kept you busy on the weekend 🥳 while I had completed my Christmas shopping I couldn’t help myself in snagging a few fantastic items for our cottage 😉 So excited! Yay! And you ship to Canada thank you so much 🥂

    1. Happy Monday, Colleen! I also loved that cottage fireplace image- so many beautiful details to admire. How’s it going with your cottage project? I hope you were able to resolve or find a solution for the foundation. Thank you so much for supporting us and for your order- you bought some of my favorite things- especially that art and the blanket! I’ve been putting notes in all of the packages, and Emmett packed yours while I was out running errands… so he wrote your note (his penmanship may be questionable, hah). I was bummed because I recognized your name and wanted to do yours!! Next time. Of course we wanted to ship to Canada because we have so many lovely friends there :) We’re still figuring things out- like packing and shipping, but I know we’ll find out rhythm soon. Have a wonderful week! xo

      1. Honestly I could have ordered so many things from your store for the cottage😍 but I’m trying to pace myself as we did get the news on the foundation and it needs full replacement 🤯 Yikes! There is no saving the brick and mortar it’s too far gone 😟 Therefore it’s going to be a big expense and there is so much more to fix/replace. However, it’s going to be well worth it, the cottage is on a quiet lake in the Quebec Laurentians about 40 minutes from Mont Tremblant. It’s been in my husbands family for many years and we are so grateful we inherited it. It may take us a while to restore it back to health as finding contractors to do work has been tough but that’s ok. Each year we will tackle a project and one day it will be amazing. So sweet of you guys to write notes in all the orders ❤️ It will make all the beautiful items we receive even more special thank you ☺️ I’m planning to put Laurie Annes artwork in the kitchen and the adorable doggy blanket our pup Lorrie can snuggle on the new sofa I have yet to buy 😜 Still in search mode on that. Congrats on Tuesday Made,
        Have a super day! Cheers,

        1. I’m so glad you liked lots of things- it has been really fun picking everything out! I’m sorry to hear about the foundation (that’s always tough, expensive news), but it will most definitely be worth it. The location sounds absolutely PERFECT, I love that it holds sentimental value with your family, and the investment you put into it will be for the better, so you and your family can enjoy it for decades to come :) Slow and steady wins the race when it comes to renovating. Sourcing trustworthy, quality contractors is always tough. I’m sorry it hasn’t been an easy road in that department. Maybe try asking some neighbors or people in the area for referrals? We usually have good luck with word-of-mouth recommendations. You have so many fun projects happening- I’m excited for you!!

  3. Happy Monday!! The inspiration in this post is revitalizing my creativity this morning. I adore the wood built ins-the contrast of the organic textures of the wood and that stone pedestal table (I second the question of is it travertine?)…I also love the vibrant color pops of the books against the gorgeous floral display. Probably what most stopped me in my tracks was the view through the doorway. Seeing those gorgeous pendants, against the white backdrop of the cabinetry-😍😍😍…ALL the vibes! Next in line for me is that powder room sink. Everything about it makes my heart dance. That shade of green is stunning against that stonework and the shade of brass works perfectly with all of it. How perfect is that bud vase on the countertop?? I mean…perfection all around. My absolute favorite has to be the cottage living room. I want to curl up in that chair next to the fire and just write for a weekend. This is the kind of space that I would hole myself up in and refuse contact from the outside world. I love all the textures: the wood, the brick, the textiles, that lamp shade. Against that inviting view from outside, it evokes the sense that there’s some private garden just off this room. It’s all welcoming and just pulls me in. I hope you know you’re supplying my daydreams today! Haha. Incredibly excited that the launch went well and you and Emmett had so much to do-another success for you both! I haven’t yet snagged anything-I’m still deciding, lol. But I have my top contenders in mind and can’t wait to grab something for the house. Congrats to you both and I hope you have an amazing week!

    1. I love hearing that, Lauren :) I think the table might be cerused wood, but it’s tough to tell (I couldn’t find a very clear, crisp image)… beautiful regardless! I also enjoyed seeing that dramatic powder room sink- SO pretty. I definitely feel like the cottage is an idyllic escape- I bet you’re right about the garden, scenery, or view outside. I have never wanted to travel more in my life than I have these past two months. Haha! Thanks for your kind words- we’ve been BUSY busy boxing orders, which has been really fun & exciting. I’m about to switch gears from the blog and start ordering more inventory (that and product styling are my two favorite job tasks). Ha! Have a lovely week, my friend! xo

  4. Some good pinterest inspiration today! My favorite (besides your basement) is the library! Love the wood and that table…so beautiful! Our next home must include a library since my husband is such a huge reader. The big decision is how big must the room be? Ha! I like the mix of tiles in the bathroom. It reminds me of the way tile used to be done with more details. The stone in the powder bath is beautiful. Lastly, love the navy blue bed. Every time I see this bed, I want to find one and put in one of our guest rooms. Having a desk beside that bed would be nice too! My mother has an antique desk and hutch since she was in high school. Its one of my favorite pieces.
The details and steps you are taking to ship from your store is a gift in itself! Love the details. Will definitely be purchasing more. Have a great Monday!

    1. I’m really glad you liked it, Danna :) I also loved that library- so beautiful! I wouldn’t mind a tiny library someday… any sort (or size) of room for books is good by me. I’m loving tile trim pieces lately- it feels intentional and you really notice the design and craftsmanship. I’m always on the hunt for a vintage bed frame like that, but haven’t had luck thus far. Your mother’s desk and hutch sound beautiful! Those family pieces are always the most special. Emmett is boxing your order as I write this :) I’m working from home and he’s at the office finishing up. We’re hoping to be caught up tomorrow. Thanks for being super patient with us while we learn the ropes. Haha! We’re slower than most, I’m sure. I rolled up your rug last night. I hope you love it! I can’t wait to see photos. SO exciting!! I hope your week is off to an awesome start. xo

  5. Love these Pinterest posts – you always find such gems, Sarah! That first bathroom is just beautiful and the wood chairs in the modern dining room bring some lovely warmth to that space. My favorite is the cottage, though for sure. Who wouldn’t want to curl up next to that fireplace with a hot drink and engaging book!? I was wondering if you’ve ever done a post of Pinterest finds that are all from one locale, one part of the world? I’d love to take a virtual tour of places/spaces like Barcelona, Paris, Vancouver, etc., especially having not gotten my travel itch scratched much this year! Anyway, just a thought and I can’t wait to see what fun you have in store for us this week! xoxo…

    1. Thanks, Anne! These are fun for me, so I’m happy you enjoy them, too :) Yesss- that cottage is calling to me. I can only dream of staying in a space like that! I haven’t ever shared a 10 Pins post that was based on locale, but I LOVE your idea. I’ll do that for our next one. I’m also missing travel this year, and can’t wait to hop on a flight again someday and have some new adventures. I’m guessing many people will enjoy seeing images from around the world- I made a note in my calendar. Thanks for the idea!! xo

      1. Yea!! Can’t wait to see what beauties you find. I love seeing interior design outside the US. YHL Has a Podcast did a feature last December on how people in other countries decorate for the holidays (ep 158), but they also did non-holiday decorating & architecture “trends” from other parts of the world in episodes 133 & 145, in case anyone else is interested. Super facinating!
