Trend Alert : Pedestal Vases & Planters

pedestal-planter-floral-arrangementI’ve been noticing a very clear trend within florals and plants lately… pedestal vases & planters! I purchased my first pedestal vase (shown above) from Jewelweed before leaving Ohio and it’s remained one of my favorites. After moving to Salt Lake, where there are SO many plant stores and options, I’ve noticed even more of the aforementioned shape. I have to say- I’m really attracted to it. Jump on the newest trend and click through to see a roundup of my favorites.pedestal-planters-vases01: pedestal pottery dish // 02: brass vase // 03: planter bowl with plinth // 04: pedestal vase // 05: pair of black vintage planters // 06: tortuga vase // 07: glazed urn // 08: vicus vase // 09: mid century vase // 10: glazed terra cotta planter

The possibilities for plants and florals mixed with this style are endless. In addition to putting together the arrangement for this post… I’m going to share a succulent pedestal planter DIY next week- stay tuned! It’s quickly become one of my new favorite objects to style into decor. I also love that plants and florals feel visually balanced in this shape when they taper over the edge. It looks very organic and natural. Pretty beautiful, don’t you think?
