July Moodboard

July MoodboardIt’s already time for another monthly moodboard. You know what my latest design and decor obsession is? Updated palm leaves and all things emerald.

Yes, the classic palm leaf pattern will always be in style, (and don’t kill me for saying this) but I’m sort of sick of seeing the same old print. There are so many fresh, weird, abstracts, and even uber traditional takes on this age old pattern.

July Moodboard01: swivel chair // 02: embroidered palm leaves // 03: round planter // 04: large scale photographic print // 05: banana leaf tapestry // 06: faux palm leaf // 07: green plate // 08: fringe cushion // 09: patterned palm cushion // 10: citronelle candle // 11: green sofa

I could 100% see that dramatic palm photographic print (#4) at a huge scale making a statement in a bright and airy room. H&M also has some really great, cheap pillows right now (#8 and #9). I also think the sweet embroidered palm leaves (#2)  would be so darling in a nursery or kids room.

GreenA lot of these picks may not seem super intuitive for summer because of their deep tone, but I beg to differ. I could easily see this moody hue making an impact in a bright home alongside woven materials and rattan. Obviously you wouldn’t use all of these pieces, but in moderation- sprinkled throughout… it’s honestly the perfect color for a hot month like July. This cool green tone is the epitome of relaxation and seeking luxurious comfort indoors.

Green in JulyWhat do you guys think? Do you lean towards darker colors in the summer in moderation? It’s honestly all about balance!

Amazing find with the H&M throw pillows! I had no idea they offered these products. Thank you!

    1. They do and they’re so inexpensive! It’s been one of my go-to resources for cheap, easy accessories lately.

  2. I agree, this color is what cooling off in the summer looks like for sure! I tend to prefer a warmer green, but this is pretty much exactly the color of my love seat. I’m glad this color is as popular as it is, because it was a piece of furniture we bought to fill a need, and it was picked more for it being in good condition than the color haha! But I do love green, and I agree, it’s definitely a good accent color!

    1. It’s one of my all-time favorites. It seriously looks great year round! Your sofa sounds amazing. xo

    1. Yesss!! Thats exactly what I’m talking about. Love that. xo
