Holiday Gift Wrap Resources

holiday-gift-wrapping-ideasYou either love it or loathe it… wrapping holiday gifts, that is. I happen to be one of those people who thoroughly enjoys wrapping and packaging, so I thought it would be fun to share ideas and some of my favorite finds this season! Click through for inspiration and to view my selections…

Odds are, you’ve put a lot of thought into the gifts you’re giving this season, so it only makes since to complete the gesture with a nice presentation! From a non-holiday related point, I’m a firm believer that packaging sells… it’s probably the print and packaging designer in me. I’m not suggesting you should “sell” your holiday gifts to their recipients because that’s obviously not what it’s about- BUT I’m willing to bet your friends and family will be super impressed and feel incredibly special, knowing you devoted time and energy pulling together such a beautiful present just for them. Take a peek at some of my favorites below… let’s start with the artsy wrapping papers.

I’m all about artsy gift wrap… then again, I’m technically an artist, but tell me you don’t love the beautiful, interesting, and different options above! I find it so comical and clever that #1 is duck, duck, goose gift wrap- now THAT is fun and beautiful. I’m also really into the photographic (#7 and #2) and grunge (#9) looking packages. I think my favorite from the artsy roundup might be the black and white graphic eyes (#4). I’d use that for the cool girl on my list.

Geometric gift wrap always makes a statement under your tree. I prefer to stick to one or two colors if I’m using a bold print. My favorites? #1 feels classic, yet hip… I’m always a sucker for black and white, which leads me to #6. That circular pattern is so lively and merry on it’s own, but you could easily add colored ribbon to it. The wrapping paper that takes the cake for me is definitely #7. I’m always attracted to 3D tiled prints! Always. Can’t you just imagine a beautiful stack of these?

glam-wrapping-paper

I don’t consider myself to be a glam type of gal, but I have to say this roundup is really speaking to me. I’m also not a lady who loves the color pink, yet the blush tones have won me over. My absolute top pick from the above collage is #2. So gorgeous!! I love the addition of the thin, black leather ribbon. That totally makes it!

Even though my overall holiday decorating style is pretty classic, I typically don’t wrap my gifts with traditional looking paper. I sort of believe that opposing contrast and depth makes holiday packages and decorating prettier. For instance, if you decorate really modern, a traditional gift wrap like #5  or #9 would be perfect! Classic never goes out of style, so you’re pretty safe with any option from the above roundup.

Alright, let’s hear your favorite! There are so many gorgeous prints, patterns, and textures to choose from. If you still haven’t found a gift wrap you love, you can also check out these ideas.

Artsy:8. I think I like the geometric round up best of all, especially:1,2,7. I agree with you on glam:2,5. And I like your classic options: 1,4,8,9. Thanks for the tips. I still need to finish shopping. Wrapping is a whole new ballgame with a toddler this year.
