Hand Poured Soy Candles

soy-candle-diyIf you’re running behind on holiday gifting and would prefer to avoid stressing over expedited shipping, we’ve got your back! I poured some easy, lovely scented soy candles that make the perfect gift or stocking stuffer. Obviously I’m a big fan of quality candles, and this DIY version is no exception. These beauties look and smell divine, but by doing them yourself, you won’t have to splurge on a high priced candle. Click over to coco+kelley to get my full tutorial!

soy-candle-tutorialCandles are always a safe gift, and by pouring them yourself, you can get a high-quality, custom fragrance without the steep cost. Has anyone poured their own candles before? I’m partial to the wood wick because I’m an outdoor lover at heart. That crackling campfire sound gets me every time and really ups the cozy factor! This was a really fun DIY for me… almost as fun as the gemstone soaps. I’ll definitely be pouring more candles once I’m back from holiday travels!

  1. I was literally just looking for wood wicks this morning and wondering if I could make one. My husband has (quite unexpectedly) been using ours up crazy fast. Thanks for the tutorial!

Hi I am hoping you can help me I was not able to use the link for the printable labels on CoCo + Kelley. Are you able to update the link and/or send it to me directly we are trying to use the label this weekend for bridal shower goodie bags? I have also not received a response from my post nor is it visible anymore stating that the link no longer works and I am unable to use it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and my friend the bride would be ecstatic, we made the candles but are not trying to print the labels but can not.

    1. Hi Brooke! I’m so sorry about that. These files were hosted in a ‘public’ Dropbox folder and they did away with them last month. Don’t worry though!! I’m sending you an email with the templates right now, and I’ll make sure Cassandra updates the link. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Good luck with the bridal shower!! xox

  4. How did you treat your wood wicks? I tried to soak them in olive oil beforehand, and mine will not burn :( they just light and then go out. Any tips??

    1. Hi Nicole, I didn’t treat my wicks at all… they came packaged and ready-to-burn. I didn’t have any trouble getting them to light. Maybe try a different brand? Sorry I don’t have more insight on this issue!

  5. Hi can you tell me what size labels are needed? Also, how many drops of the essential oils are needed? Thanks so much!

    1. The oil amount is really a personal preference- depending on how strong you like your candle. The labels templates are linked on the coco+kelley page in the post- they’re free and printable :) xo
