Dining Room Concept

Since I recently upholstered my vintage Breuer chairs, I’m finally motivated to finish my dining room. I have a few things left to purchase, but it’s shaping up and I’m in the homestretch! Here’s a little collage that shows how it will most likely unfold:

The vibe of our home is pretty relaxed, so I wanted to keep this space casual. Living in a small house, things have to be functional in addition to looking good. Once the dining room is finished, I know it will be a place for not only sharing meals, but hanging out socializing, entertaining, and playing the occasional card game.

The only things I have left to install is the oversized artwork, bar cart, and purchase a kitchen table. I’m having trouble pulling the trigger on the dining table; I’m in a little debate over shape with my husband. I’m also secretly hoping I can score a vintage one. Speaking of vintage, how awesome is the mid-century credenza? I snagged that baby for $25- lucky Craigslist find! Look for the completed reveal soon (if I can manage to get it together).

  1. This is exactly the table I imagined when I saw your @sargibs Instagram pic!

    1. Thank goodness for your reassurance. You have to help me convince Kalyn that the oval table would be rad! He is completely set on a rectangular table.
