A Moody Men’s Dressing Room
Wayyyy back when, I snuck over to my friend’s house to capture a few of my favorite spaces before checking out of Ohio. I purposefully saved this space for fall because the color palette is what September and October dreams are made of!! If you’re into the desaturated, dark hues- you’re going to love this moody men’s dressing room. Click through for a little tour, my favorite vignettes, and a shop the post feature.Â
The oversized furniture, leather accents, and ultra masculine decor is so perfectly fitting for the lucky guy who inhabits this space. It’s cool, hip, and designerly without trying too hard. Mostly everything in this room in vintage, which makes it even more appealing to me.
For some reason, I am always attracted to masculine decor- give me all of the leather, moody neutrals, and deep wood tones. I really wouldn’t be sad if this was my designated space to get ready each morning (ha! wishful thinking). The day I decided to shoot was sort of an impromptu visit / day date with my friend… and unfortunately I didn’t have my wide angle on hand, so it’s sort of difficult to grasp the space. The upstairs of this home is one of those architecturally interesting spaces that flows from one small room to another. They’re sort of all strung together, but really cohesive.
If you’re loving the decor and color palette in this space… here’s how to bring elements into your own home:
01: antique brass pendant // 02: starburst mirror // 03: reeded armoire // 04: mr. porter style guide // 05: vintage shoe forms // 06: modern lounge chair // 07: greek bust // 08: vintage dial telephone // 09: vintage persian rug // 10: console table // 11: modern shag rug
If you’re interested in touring more of this house, be sure to check out: the living room, dining room, and hallway. They’re really different (bright and colorful) in comparison to this space.
